There are just so many possibilities, particularly as an Arsenal and Germany fan, the mind just boggles. Isn't Overmars supposed to be gay?

This kinda thing should help – he's the most high-profile of the few so far, and only just retired – but you still don't think a hactual currently active (in the game) high-profile footballer is necessarily about to come out.

Noted homosexual footballer Thomas Hitzlsperger has come out as having played over 100 times for Aston Villa in the early years of this century...

Remember Sol Campbell mysteriously leaving the Arsenal dressing room at half time against WHam in 2006? He's almost certainly a batty crease.

Ashley Cole has a history of inserting mobile phones into his rectum. And that was before the iphone.

And what about Chamakh? Is he even bothering to hide it?

There are plenty of queers in football. Fair play Hitzlespurter for having the 'nads to be honest about it. Pretty pathetic it's still even big news to be fair. Pretty sure almost the entire Bayern/Germany team bats for the other team, so who cares.

     Very Happy

    probably true

    --------------------

Hitz was never really GERMANY material

bizarrely, Löw even squeezed the midfielder into defence , where he was woeful

    kinda makes you think, innit

the feeling that Löw always had a preference for a certain kind of PERSON, rather than merely player, always lingered

interesting also to see which players tweet support

    Hildebrand, Metze and Anne Friedrich

    http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fussball_mehr/artikel_829296.html

    as well as Poldi

    anyway

good luck to Hitze, a nice and thoughtful chap, if ever there was one

but as he indicates in his Zeit-outing, the pressure on players to stay in the closet is rather big

will be interesting to see when the first ACTIVE players spill the beans

I don't think we will get a BIG NAME outing of an ACTIVE player in the next 10 years

    pity, but there we are

Hitz was unfortunate enough to be around when we had no real leftback (and Philipp Lahm was out with injury), so by virtue of his left foot, he got stuck in defense time and time again.

Anyway, best of luck to and a lot of respect for Hitze. If you have five minutes to spare, have a look at the interview from his homepage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jASBrf2-6A#t=16 (it's in English, don't worry Wink ).

seems we signing Grant Holt on loan for rest of season to cover Kozak. as I like him from Shrewsbury days, I'm okay with this, but it's not exactly the most ambitious or exciting signing!

Lerner confirms we're up for sale. hopefully it happens quickly, 'cause otherwise we're just going to be in limbo & the squad would be dead certs for relegation if we go into next season without any investment.

Lambert now probably dead man walking - wonder if he'll jump before he's pushed, if Norwich or Celtic (as have both been rumoured) came in for him.

He was a shambles at Valencia. Tried to implement tactics for which he didn't have the right players. Fell out with basically everyone at the club. He signed Hedwiges Maduro ffs! Doh

He also won their only trophy till today, and he had to change that squad from the board. Yet, didnt got the full backing when players were uprising against him.

Nontheless, its at Feyenoord were Koeman matured as coach, got his last chance and took it. Brought us back at the top, with the 5th budget. He had to win the league this year, but failed to do that. And implemented his new 5-3-2 system a little too late. Brought in many youth players, 3 years ago Feyenoord had zero players in Oranje, now 7. It remains to be seen how he is gonna do in the EPL, cause he was also lucky in the signing of Guidetti and Pelle. But he actually finished his contract, which is a rare thing for a coach these days.

I think Lambert is like Pardew, unsackable, the owner won't want to pay the compensation.

yeah can't see Lambert being sacked now until (if) the takeover happens.

pretty brutal fixtures, but had a similar start this season (played all of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, City in the first 6 games) & actually did better than expected - won two of them & narrow defeats in the other two.

he did okay. he was used in various positions which was probably tough - played most at RB where he was reasonable but a bit lacking defensively sometimes. think he'd be better in midfield with less defensive responsibility and more freedom to join attacks, got a good engine & scored a few goals inc a couple of v.good free kicks. overall, he has established self as useful squad player if not quite cemented into a position in the first XI. certainly a good signing for the price
