I have to thank a long-unseen friend for dragging me off to meet for lunch today and saving me from having to watch this. I don't think she was too impressed by the way I was so obviously sneakily checking the score on my phone between courses.  

I haven't seen any of it obviously, but frankly it's not a surprise. Coming on AW's landmark anniversary, I hope this serves as a reality check for both him and the board, that the team is severely lacking in comparison to its peers and the odd splurge on a vanity purchase is not sufficient to paper over the cracks. And, most important, AW is seen for what he is - outmoded and outclassed by his younger peers, though this will not deter the board from giving him another bumper deal as long as he keeps delivering the CL money and balances the books. We may still have the FA Cup but so far as the league is concerned, it's back again to tediously scrapping for the fourth spot.

I don't rate Man City that highly tbh, they had some huge "luck" with referee's, and I think they're fortunate to still be in the title race.

Why play into Chelsea's hand by playing a ridiculous highline with most of of our players ahead of the ball? Even an amateur coach knows Chelsea struggle to create chances when you sit back against them and don't give them a chance to counter.

It's truly astounding. The truth is that with a better manager Arsenal would be much more dangerous because they would be more pragmatic or at the very least not so suicidal tactically. I say this even as I don't rate Arsenal's squad that much.
