Vardy wouldn't have been pulled up for diving against us, just like Aguero wasn't last night when he went limp and fell into Mbemba in the box, and we wouldn't have got the Morgan penalty.

Is Martinez the Spanish Rodgers, or is Rodgers the British Martinez?
To think he had me seduced from 2012-15.
Everton currently resemble us in the Berbatov years (2007 time) and not just because Aaron Lennon is on the right wing.

Everton must be kicking themselves when they see Leicester top of the league. They've got better players than Leicester yet are 32 points behind them, because of their numpty manager.

Just like his Northern Irish twin, he talks a good game laced with unnecessary superlatives, but he has no clue when it comes to setting up a defence.

He is a fraud, he's the same manager he was at Wigan, and if he has tried to sort out his defensive weaknesses he's failed completely. It's weird how a lot of managers just can't evolve, fat Sam thinks he's a great manager that has been hard done to over the years, but has he fixed the things people have criticised him for? Has he f**k, he's the same shithouse manager he was at Bolton, even giving him better players didn't change that.

Merte - like one of those air dancers you see outside of used car sales

Re: Premier League 16-21 April 2016
I agree a little bit with Carragher when he rubbished this perception of Everton having all these fantastic players. Apparently it's the best Everton side in 20 years.
The only players I'd take from them are Barkley and Lukaku but I think even Lukaku would struggle to get in our side currently.
Baines has turned to shit.
Stones is very good but has looked pretty damn dodgy recently.
Midfield is nothing special at all.
Last night was the worst Everton performance I've ever seen against us and that's saying something. An utter f**k up from start to finish. Wrong team selection (rest some players, it's a pointless game before a massive cup semi). Clueless defending for our first two goals. A disgusting tackle from Mori and an even more bizzarre reaction - kissing the badge as he walks off; 2 goals down, a potential leg breaking challenge and thinks he's going to win the fans over by doing that? Clown.
No way back after that - annoyingly we should have won about 8-0. The Everton team just about bothered to put challenges in still. It turned into target practice.
It was honestly disgraceful. The manager is gone no matter what happens this weekend and to be honest I think they'll get beat quite comfortably by United as well - they're a broken team.
The players should be doing better as well - I don't mean top 8 or anything like that but 9th or 10th playing good football at least.
How ironic that we wanted Bobby Martinez at one point. Thank f**k we got Klopp.

Re: Premier League 16-21 April 2016
Besides usual suspects with their usual bullshit (According to Luis at EMB Everton probably never had a squad for Top 8 and he was aften mentioning relegation and according to Kimbo Big Sam didnt do a spectacular job with Bolton) few things I have on my mind:
1) We are terrible and comparison to Tottenham circa 2007 is probably right.
2) Unlike Rodgers, who had a very good defensive record with Swansea, Martinez had only one good season defensively and it was when he inherited Moyes' defense in his 1st season at Goodison.
3) Not sure what I would hate more - Martinez not getting a sack after season or Moyes replacing him. Hopefully 3rd possibility will win in the end, Pellegrini or Favre would be my 1st choice. Surprsengly I would take the latter over the former, Pellegrini lack of interest in using youngsters is putting me off a little bit with team like Everton.
4) I am very disappointed in Martinez's lack of tactical flexibility during his Everton time - for majority of 3 years we had a nicely suited group of players to try 3-man defense with wingbacks and he never tried to bother opponents with it. Despite doing it all the time in Wigan with less suited personnel for it.
5) It's not the best Everton squad of last 20 years, as 2007/2008, 2008/2009 and 2013/2014 were probably slightly better. But all that teams finished the season with 20 points more not because their players were vastly superior to current group, but because they were well drilled, they understood their strengths and weaknesses and they were playing one for another. It's all missing now, so someone will have a lot of work to fix it.
6) Could anyone explain me what was the deal with buying Niasse in January? Or other African forward imports in Premier League? All looks very shady, but only Everton spent 13m pounds on their player (3rd biggest transfer ever for them).

Re: Premier League 16-21 April 2016
No I think Sam did well with Bolton, but he hasn't done well since, in fact I would say he's still living off his days at Bolton. Even now at Sunderland he gets a lot of praise from the national media, but Sunderland's form and league placing haven't actually improved under him, he gets away with it somehow. If they stay up they'll rim his fat arse, but they won't mention the fact he's had them in the bottom 3 all season.
He has failed to replicate what he did at Bolton at any of his clubs since, he's been continually criticised by fans of those clubs for his football, and he hasn't improved it, he just does the same thing every time.

On Niasse, it was probably shady, i'm convinced we do shady deals. We had Ferreyra for a year and he never played a minute, despite some horrific situations upfront, we've got Saivet who looked ok then disappeared, same with Doumbia, I don't know what the f**k is going on with some of the players we sign. Can they really be that shit? I don't think so.

As much I dislike Allardyce's football for me it's really difficult to criticize him for his West Ham tenure. Brought them back to Premier Leage, established them there again, brought some decent players. It's not like Bilic is getting a great season having to build team from the scratch.
Sounds a little bit like Martinez 1st season with Everton.

Pellegrini going to Everton is as likely as Villa staying up.
Do Everton still believe they're a big club? No trophies in f**k knows how long now, piss poor stadium, can't offer Europe to players. It's not an attractive place to go to right now.

So you got Klopp, Southampton got Koeman, Watford got QSF, West Ham got Bilic, almost relegated Newcastle got Benitez and Leicester got Ranieri (impressive CV despite awful time with Greece NT) and you expect us to settle for who exactly? Pardew? Pulis? Moyes?Luis wrote:Pellegrini going to Everton is as likely as Villa staying up.

Just like martinez wouldn't go there when he was quite highly regarded
A 40k place with character that sells out all the time
Just like Lukaku didn't want to go there
It's not like they had a new investor (time will tell what his ambitions are) take a majority stake
Anyone outside of the red half of Merseyside would tell you that Everton are underachieving massively.
The should have sold Stones and Barkley when they had the chance though, could have been £75mil that would have gone in positions around the team, especially DM/CM and GK.
Eddie Howe could be a good look

Don't know where to start with this drivel:
Martinez isn't in the same ball park as Pellegrini - never was and never will be.
It actually doesn't sell out all the time; they regularly offer 'half season tickets'. It's piss easy to get a ticket for Everton.
Lukaku went there on loan when Mourinho didn't want him; he had a choice between them or WBA, not the best options in the world.
Lots of clubs get investment or spend lots of money and are still shit - Newcastle, Swansea, QPR to name a few in recent years. They won't be able to attract top class players regardless.
I think they're underachieving a tiny bit but are they as good as Southampton, Stoke, West Ham? No, they don't have better players than those teams.
Like I said who would you take from their team? Lukaku and Barkley. Stones as well but I'm not totally decided on him - he wouldn't get in ahead of Lovren or Sakho right now that's for sure. Sakho was laughed at by Stinger but he's actually been one of the best centre backs in Europe this season since Klopp arrived.
