    Yeah, people just aren't willing to give players time when moving between leagues that have historically always been tough on players. eg. Italy to Spain or Spain/South America to England.

    Corinthians was in the relegation zone. Argentina called up Mascherano for the friendly against Brazil. Corinthians said that they couldn't let him go because they would have a very important match on the same day. On the previous weekend Mascherano, an example of a good professional, wanted to be sent off to play against Brazil in the following weeked. He offendend the referee and got a red card in the beggining of the second half. Corinthians lost and remained in the relegation zone.

    He also wanted to leave Corinthians but he wasn't man enough to say it publicly. So he went AWOL. Very professional.
