I think he has great potential, and unlike with Fletcher, I genuine believe he could make it at a top, top club.

But with hindsight, I wouldn't have spent £6million on him and Le Tallec, and I certainly wouldn't want my club buying him right now. I think that's how most Utd fans, who defend Fletcher so frequently, feel about him.

If he came from another academy you simply wouldn't want him because he doesn't look Man Utd class.

That's just my take on the matter though.

Pongolle is average only has a descent game once in a while against a side two leagues below. He has yet to break into the team who were struggling for goals. Very average he won't amount to anything IMO

Cantona admitted at first he was a harsh critic of Fletcher but his performances won him over' he said 'he is a leader on the pitch' and has tactical awareness that is vital to the team if i remember rightly

Cantona has been one of the biggest critics of United in the past
