I'll kind of miss him because of that nervous energy i got when the ball went near him.......... it could be compared to the nerves you feel during a penalty shootout.

Be interesting to see if someone brought in to replace him.

£3.3m, have they seen him play? Still better than nothing, you were never going to recoup what you paid for him.

One could argue that he just doesn't have the talent to make it in a big league. As bad as Souness was the really talented players still showed it.

I always bought him in CM a few years ago, together with Mexes. He was such a good prospect..

He did yes, but then all players have the odd good game, even Babayaro has occasionally impressed.

Now they just have to sell Bramble.

I can live with Titus staying as long as he's a squad player, him getting selected ahead of Taylor is so frustrating. Bramble's just far too inconsistent to be a first teamer for us.

Certainly. Moore's far from spectacular but he is pretty reliable and consitent, something that's important in defenders, he'll do the job this season until we can bring someone better in. If we could have a center back pairing of Taylor and Moore and replace Babayaro then that will be a decent defence, then next year Moore and Carr can be replaced.

There is but the confidence loss and the whispers of nervousness around St. James Park every time he came on didn't help at all. I'm glad Newcastle got a decent sum for him, although like others have said, he'll no doubt do well in a new atmosphere and a slightly weaker league to build his confidence in. And that will instantly prompt people to ridicule Newcastle for "ruining a world class player".
