fabulous signing. Chuffed to the moon.

    Hasnt been injured in ages.

A King-Woody centrehalf combo is mouth watering.

And he turned down Newcastle lol!

Sky Sports are saying its because Lennon > N' Zogbia and this swayed his decision

1 out of 3 goes your way and you're over the moon. Duff Bubbly Parker <Ale>

TBH as good as Woody is a defender isn't our priority and won't really make a difference until our midfield is sorted out. The only thing that bothers me about this is the bullshit that Woody fed us when he left, about how he would love to come back, keep the shirt warm for him blah blah blah.

Smart buy, IF he stays fit.

Never the less you still need a better defensive 'enforcer' the Terrys, Vidics and Carras of the premiership, you'll see all the "top 4" partner a footballing centreback with a solid no nonsense centre back.

This appears to be a standard winning formula, but i'd be very interested in seeing a King + Woody defence, looks very nice on paper i must say. Ale

Decent signing by Spurs. Over the last year Dawson has not impressed me (he had a very good 2005/2006 season) that much. If he can stay fit I'm sure he will form a decent partnership with King/Kaboul.

Tiago and Gilberto still to come as well?

Wouldn't really say Arsenal have a no nonsense centre back.

With regards to Woodgate it'll be a good signing providing he stays fit

This isn't strictly true is it, he still gets niggling muscle injuries, he just hasn't had a tear for a while.

So much for Dawson and Kaboul. <Ale>

    hmm.

Rangers defender Alan Hutton has been in London to have signing talks with Tottenham Hotspur.

The two clubs agreed a fee of about £8m more than three weeks ago but Hutton, 23, stated his desire to remain with the Scottish Premier League leaders.

Since then, though, Spurs have improved the terms on offer to the Scotland international and the decision remains with the player.

Rangers say nothing has changed since the transfer fee was agreed.

Hutton signed a new five-year deal with the Ibrox side last July and any potential move to the north London club looked over after the player rejected a second bid.

    MY SPORT: DEBATE
Are Rangers right to cash in on Alan Hutton?

But Spurs manager Juande Ramos has re-ignited his interest in the six-times capped attacking right-back and will hope to complete the deal before Thursday's transfer deadline.

He's a very good defender. One thing I didn't want Tottscum to do was buy a very good defender. I also don't want them buying a decent CM, but Tiago might go there Doh.

    ok

They can score goals for fun and Ramos is starting to improve the backline. That is nothing though if you don't have a competant goalkeeper between the sticks. This is their biggest problem this coming Summer.

It wasn't in one summer, it was over the course of a season, like with yous. We went right to the edge with that spree and Ashley was left with a big f@ck off debt to clear. Still anything less than a serious top 4 challenge next year will be a failure. <Ale>
