it seems as if they have managed to lure Brazilian ace Carlos Alberto to the AOL Stadium

Werder were hot in pursuit of the Porto ace but pipped to the post

    http://www.welt.de/sport/article971082/Carlos_Alberto_wechselt_zum_Hamburger_SV.html

is Allofs finally losing his touch Question

HSV have also signed highly rated Egytian striker Zidan

bear in mind that the hyperdefensive Dutchie Stevens has managed to coax the second best post-Xmas Bundesliga performance out of the existing squad and you feel HSV will challenge at least for UEFA Cup places this season, maybe even overtake Schaaf's Bremen

record numbers of fans have bought season tickets; HSV fans are so passionate they are happy to forget about Dutch "Schlafwagenfussball"

the big worry is the lack of German players or indeed even a pretence of a youth policy

I told you the HSV would outbid Bremen, even though they don´t have the money. They offer 1.5m now for a one year loan deal and another 8m for the option to buy him then, so 9.5m altogether.

HSV just speculate they might have the money next year, and if not it´s still no risk for them, they just won´t buy him then. But for now they have all they want...

The signing of Zidan for so much money is also risky...but it seems Beiersdorfer does not only have a soft spot for (former) Bremen players, he now also want to sign everyone Allofs want...a rather cheap strategy, but then again, what else can you expect from a HSV manager...

    @chrissi

according to the reports HSV have been in contact with the Brazilian much earlier than Bremen

    +

there is no reason why Werder could not have offered the same deal to Carlos (one-year loan+ option)

Bremen could easily have afforded this no-risk strategy as well

apparently, HSV had invited Carlos to the game against Bayern, which the Elbe side won , and which impressed the S.American

God knows what Allofs is up to

the thing is: I do NOT want Carlos at HSV

we need more German players, urgently; Carlos can play as an AMC, as well as on the wings; just like Trochowski, who they loan out

    Shocked

spend the money on U-21 talents instead

    ----------------------------

did you read that HSV ace Feilhaber scored the winner against Mexico Question

I hope Beiersdorfer starts marketing HSV in America soon; but doubt it

Yeah, that´s what they tell now...Bremen already tried to sign Alberto in the last Winter break. Jürgen Born talked to him in Brazil a few times and the deal with MSI was already done, but he didn´t want to leave Brazil that time, since he wanted to marry his girl friend first. It was pretty much clear Bremen would try to sign him this summer then.

But then suddenly HSV started to talk with MSI about a loan deal in April. However, I can assure you there were never any rumours about HSV and Alberto before...

That´s true of course, but maybe they still think 9.5m is too much...remember Allofs did not want to pay 8m for Mavuba/Diarra, and both are surely worth (much) more than Alberto atm.

I think that´s another fairy tale. Their match against Bayern was one of about 2 half decent games last season, against a weak Bayern side. I doubt Alberto and his agent are so easily to impress...

I know you don´t want him, Otto. Next year, apart from old Rost, the HSV will only have foreign players in the first eleven...

Hmm, is Feilhaber still a HSV player? I think they didn´t want him anymore and sold him recently, but I might be wrong.

Btw, during the winter break the transfer fee for Carlos Alberto was still about 5.5m Euro...now HSV offered 9.5m Euro for a loan deal...

    please, SACK the Dutchie NOW

he wants to play with 3 Nederlanders, but ZERO German onfield-players

    Shocked

he also does not mind , if a few German talents leave the club, otherwise there is always space on the bench

    GET RID OF HIM

I think Stevens is only making judgements based on quailty rather than nationality.

Read into that what you will.

and goes on to play de Jong and bench the Troch

    Shocked Shocked Shocked

    @ Nederlanders

HSV are easily one of the top 4 German Bundesliga clubs

now imagine a German like Doll, Schuster or Klinsi managing a Dutch club like Feyenoord

I know, I know, Euer hollaendischer Dickschaedel wird das nicht verstehen

    dennoch

    Klinsi at Feyenoord

and now he goes on to play a multi-kulti team with ZERO Dutchies and THREE Germans

Klinsi would not last a week

Stevens survives at HSV because of Dutch cheekiness and German self-loathing

PSV only play 1/2 dutchies aswell, and the fans don't seem to be that bothered with it.

That's easy : if the manager before Klinsi was LAST with the same material and Klinsi was SECOND with the same material, we'd worship the ground Klinsi walked on.

To us it would be obvious that he would be an exceptional manager, dear lobOTTOmy, we'd let him do what he wanted he obviously knows his stuff.

Germans don't seem to have the ability to think so rational....

That's probably exactly WHY Stevens is the best manager in the Bundesliga lol!

    Waar Verhaal

    Glatte Luege

the best manager in the Bundesliga was Armin Veh, the little known and little rated guy at Stuttgart who led the club to the Bundesliga title and managed to reach the DFB Pokal as well

all the while playing ENTERTAINING FOOTBALL

but my dear Groningen, your complete lack of interest in ATTACKING FOOTBALL tells me that you have indeed become a cold , heartless, efficiency obsessed typical Dutch Football Fan

guys like you are quickly dying out in Germany

in fact, Stuttgart and Berlin would give everything in the world to have more fans like you; when the fireworks stop they just don't bother to turn up

feel free to start a Dutch Berlin or Stuttgart Hardcore Fan Club

Carlos Alberto looks a hot talent - the bundesliga seems to be a big fan of buying creative forwards from Porto king

Personally, I saw more in Diego in their times at Porto, despite Diego being a relative failure - Diego has the rep for being a bit slefish, but Alberto is worse
