He wasn't too brutal for the Premiership, it was too brutal for him Laughing

I think he'll do ok, remains to be seen if him and Javi Navarro work well together.

Depends if he plays at RB or CB.

He was decent in the start, then injuries and bans messed up his season, i quite like him.

It's a good tactical signing by Sevilla, because Hinkel has left, and they're 90% certain to lose Dani Alves as well. So having Boulahrouz able to play RB will help.

When will clubs finally understand that Boulahrouz is no RB, but a central defender?

Wolfsburg apparently, but the deal is not done yet AFAIK.

Magath wants 'his player" back, as Wolfsburg are spending a lot of cash on their team this season. Wouldn't be a wise decision IMHO, because with Alves leaving, he'd get much more playing time, and Sevilla is the better club.

The only reason for a move: He wants to be in the focus of the GErman press again, so he has a chance to be called up for die Mannschaft (EC 2008).

He and Van Buyten had an excellent central defence partnership at Hamburg a few years ago. I still don't get why Bayern don't try to sign him, because Lucio and Van Buyten still don't work well together (while Lucio and Ismael do), and they could have an excellent backup.

He was a monster in the Liga, but look at van Buyten withouth der Cannibal Shocked

Would have loved it to see him at us, but at least he learned from his mistake by joining a non-football team.

It all started off so well - pocketing Ronaldinho.

I blame Robbie Keane. Boula was never the same after our Dublin destroyer annihalated him.

And obviously, whoever comes in as John Terry's replacement will have a tough time of it.

One of the worst career decisions ever to move to Chelsea, especially the way he did which was very questionable (HSV fans are still furious about it, which of course is a good thing from my perspective Wink).

Nah - in his last game he got himself sent off before half-time, he wasn't subbed off.

He was absolutely awful for us this season, even when at CB. He was just very clumsy and did unbelievably stupid things (the ridiculous pen. he gave away vs Everton is just the tip of the iceberg). Seemed quite uncomfortable on the ball as well.

Although tbh CFC is a very hard environment to succeed in. There is a lot of pressure and you have to prove your worth in limited opportunities, Boula wasn't quite good enough for us, but decent buy for Sevilla I reckon.
