I don't see the big deal, we're signing him for a nominal fee and Barca are paying for his rehab. Next summer we could be talking about him being a bargain.

Right now it's stalled a bit. The Newcastle delegation will return for more talks on Monday. I think it's stalled over the fee they're offering and the condition that we pay for his treatment till December.
If we have to do that, it basically cancels out any fee we get, and means we still lose him on a free (as we would next summer) but don't get that extra 6 months that he can provide. If Newcastle pay more (at least 2 million pounds), then I can see us maybe selling Edmilson.
