Is Brazil's lineup a 4-3-3 and not a 4-2-2-2 as everyone is expecting?

    So I'm guessing:

    Doni
    Defenders
    Josue-Gilberto-Mineiro
    Love-Baptista(coming from deep)-Robinho

    Anyone watching the Mexico-Chile game?

    If not, don't.

Its as boring as was expected with the Mexicans settling for the draw to top the group and the Chileans settling for a draw to go through. Although there was a decent chance for Mexico just as I write this

According to Sky Sports he is on the bench. Interesting, I was led to believe he was their 'star' player. He played well in the first game too.

He had a breakout season with Villarreal, and along with Mark Gonzalez I also expected him to be one of Chile's main players. But Mark Gonzalez ended up playing most of the last match at LB because of injuries, and the current match is a bit dull so he hasn't shown much, while of course Fernandez is on the bench.

Knowing how football can be sometimes, Vagner Love will score a hattrick today, and cement his starting place.

I seriously want Brazil to go out now, so Diego and Naldo can join training over here. Dunga won't play them anyway.

Baptisa has the touch of a rapist. I don't understand how Brazil can have such a player. I like him because he works hard and comes across as quite a humble down-to-earth guy. But he's never selaco quality, especially employed as an AM/CM hybrid, which the lineup would suggest.

As for Vagner Love, enough has been said about him. Nice to see Elano has been ditched however.

I was so excited about this Copa America, but Dunga has ruined it for me so far.

Ok, he wants a more "pragmatic" Brazil, fine, but why the f@ck does he always play the same players who have been disappointing so far? Some players like Vagner Luuuuuuuuuv seem to have a God given right of a starting place, no matter how Cr@p they play.

Diego had a bad half (played out of position, but f@ck it), and that was enough not to play him again. Guys like Luuuuuv have been Cr@p throughout, yet they never get benched. These double standards piss me off most.

At least we know Brazil have to go for a win to guarantee their qualification, so hopefully the formation won't automatically mean another dull 0-0 like the last two matches in an otherwise superb tournament.

Mark Gonzalez has been so poor today...losing the ball every time he gets it. I don't know if it's a lack of match sharpness and rhythm after a stop-start season at Liverpool, or just a one-off bad day.

That's what you get for having just 12 teams in the competiton.

Like I said earlier: Get rid of the Gold Cup, and start a new Copa America for both North and South America, with 16 teams qualifying for it. This will solve the problem, and most probably improve the importance and image of the competition.

Well it hasn't quite happened yet, but it will assuming Brazil don't lose to Ecuador.

    but yep

1/4 no. 1 is Winner of Group A(Venezuela) vs 2nd Best 3rd placed team(which will be Uruguay assuming there will be no major f@ck-up on Brazil's part)

in which case it would be just as ludicrous because Brazil or Ecuador would then go through with 2 losses and 1 win and have as good a chance to win the tournement as a team that storms their group with a 9-pointer
