World Cup 2018 Bene(lux)!

The Dutch cabinet supports a proposal by the national football association to hold the 2018 Football World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium. Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende discussed the proposal with the chairman of the Dutch football association, Jen Sprengers, and the coach of the Dutch team, Marco van Basten. The prime minister described the idea as "fantastic". The Netherlands and Belgium jointly organised the European Football Championship in 2000.

Now we know where the World Cup takes place in 2018 the question will be: Who's going to win the World Cup 2018 in Belgium and the Netherlands?

It wasn't Benelux back then, it was "just" Belgium & Holland and both got a place.

Holland really deserves to get to organize a WC, but we all know it will never happen.

If it is in Europe it has to be in the lowlands... Otherwise I can understand the FIFA chooses for another country!

Luxembourg may watch from the side lines and watch and support the Red Devil's and the Orange Lions!!!!!!!
