    Very Happy

after Metze, Schuster has decided to go German AGAIN

why buy Dutch or Brazilian when you can go for the next product of the endless conveyor belt of German talents, Bernd thought

    the BOY in question is

    18 year-old Top-Talent Christopher Schorch

a central defender from Hertha Berlin

the new DREAM partnership now surely is

    Metzelder-Schorch

    <Ale>

great to see Real GOING GERMAN

STYLE and GLORY are now assured

this Madrid side will go VERY far

    cheers <Ale>

Will he be loaned out then? Doesn't make much sense to bring him to the club now since he would barely get any playing time at all.

    Woohoooo!!!

    @ Otto

    How much will he cost?

And how "great" is he?! Biggrin

We could do with another CB! We would have four, and playing in three comps will provide some time for this kid.

Real have BOUGHT the player for 1 million Euro

the article says that the aim is to integegrate him into the first 11

presumably, as a sub, and then later more, but still

    he is a U-International

I cannot remember the exact details (where is chrissi), but think he had a falling out with the club

    innocent , if bizarre stuff

I think he went to a contract discussion with his barber, who was supposed to watch proceedings in the absence of his agent, who could not make it

when the barber actually wanted to say something in the meeting with Dieter Hoeness, the latter told him to shut up , and wanted to remove him forcibly, at which point Schorch left as well:

    " if he's leaving, I'm leaving"

Hoeness: " yeah, yeah, whatever, you are FINISHED HERE, do you hear me,

FINISHED; you'll never work in this town again,

EVER; and when you get home, look under the mattresses"

Schorch: " pah, f@ck you; I don't need you; I'm going to play at Real ; and they don't have mattresses; they sleep on Silver and MONEY"

next week Schorch got a call from Schuster and the rest is history

    @jaime

the story sounds VERY true to me

the Berlin manager , Dieter Hoeness, has confirmed it to sportbild , saying: " this evening I received a fax; it's a done deal"

Schorch will be in Madrid on Thursday for a medical

and has confirmed the deal to sportbild as well

believe you me; Real are going GERMAN

Well, I am definitely not opposed to buying German central defenders and if he is as good as you make him out to be, all the better for us. Especially for such a reasonable price! I will be interested to see how the news filters out from Spain.

Interesting change of philosophy by Real Madrid otto. It's obvious they had enough of their English plan for success (?) (Beckham, Woodgate, Owen).

We shall see what them Germans can bring to Real Madrid. Another Inter perhaps from the times of Andreas Brehme, Lothar Matthäus, and Jürgen Klinsmann which was very successful by the way. <Ale>

Woodgate hardly played due to injury, Owen was left on the bench for the majority of his time there despite being 2 top scorer for the club behind Ronaldo, and Beckham has just won La Liga and played an important role in that achievement. "English plan" sounds bizarre when there were more Spanish and Brazilians (Baptista, Ronaldo, Carlos, Robinho) there at the time. Typical Puro Spin ;-)

Berlin are excellent at producing brilliant youngsters who then all leave

If he was a super talent I think he would cost a bit more than a million euro. Rooney, for example cost 26 times this price at the same age.

    good point , alive

but German clubs are notoriously bad at putting a decent price on their players

NOBODY in Germany complained about Bayern letter Ballack, Pizarro, Kovac, Salih.... go

    FOR NOTHING

    Yikes

    Germany has a discount mentality

and Schorch had only played two games for Hertha, a club that was keen to see him go since they had fallen out

This kid will probably join up with the senior squad when the season begins - if he's good as Otto makes him out to be.

As the senior squad are in Austria at the moment, i can't see him playing for the Castilla as their in the third tier.

We just need to sign Sergio Sanchez next season, for when Cannavaro leaves.

Then our CB position will be sorted for 6/7 years minimum.
