Although they conceded more penalties than us last season, I do remember a time when they went 6 straight seasons without conceding a penalty at Old Trafford in the Prem (I think this ended with Middlesborough winning one around 2000, which they missed ironically).
Also, he made these comments after the Middlesborough game, where Boro were denied a stone wall pen which would have won them the game had it been converted, so these comments were made in the heat of the moment. I'm sure he wouldn't necessarily come out with them now.
Maybe not last season, but certainly when they dominated the league, it was virtually impossible to win a penalty at OT.
