What? They never had a chance to score, when did they threaten the goal at all in the first half?
Silvestre dropping the ball at the feet of the attacker (ambrose I think) and when bent popped up at the back-post first half, Brown wasn't overly aware of him. Silvestre should have conceded a penalty aswell, and Evra was fairly fortunate (considering Powell at the weekend) to get away with 2 hand balls.
That's all I'm saying; as cotr pointed out, there was a period of about 10 minutes where they had 80% of the ball. So they obviously had you under the cosh for a period. Not taking away at all from your victory - it was clinical. I wouldn't rave about the performance and say it was spectacular. I'd say it was thoroughly professional though. I just agree - though I'm not as down on the performance as Robert - plenty could have gone against you tonight that didn't. Plus, the defending for 2 of their goals was absolutely abysmal, even if the finishes were top notch.[/quote]
Ok...I'll say we should of won 12 - 0 then.
