For the time being, I don't see what hope there is. Milan don't want to sell him, Kaka doesn't want to leave and that is that. In the future, who knows, maybe he could one day play for us but it won't be this season barring something very out-of-the-ordinary. Also, we have a lot more problems than no-Kaka in our squad. 1) There are several players that need to leave. 2) The right wing needs to be sorted out 3)The left wing needs to be sorted out (both midfield and defense).

I can't see Kaka in Real Madrid. If AC Milan might be getting 90 Million Euros for him they might try to get a little bit more.

£60m surely you would sell any player for that price. You could buy half a team for that much.

with £90m you could almost buy a whole team.

If Milan didn't have Berlusconi as their president, then they would have sold Kaka. But Berlu wants Kaka to be Milan's face and icon until the Brazilian retires.

The problem is not berlu imo but kaka. he doesnt want to move THAT bad. If kaka wants to move then he will move and that is almost always how it ends. the thing is that kaka doesnt want to move that bad. in the past perez would find if the players wanted to leave and if they did the player would then force his move and they would find out a price. with kaka it was different because he wasnt going to for negoations.

Kaká seems like a great choice though for that role. Very gifted, level headed and dedicated. The perfect icon IMO, even if he is numbingly dull off the pitch.

It's good for him to be dull and religious, he won't be spending his time partying like Ronaldinho.

I admire Kaka's probity and sense of morality. He is also a good Christian. I see nothing wrong with this, but I know a lot on this board would disagree.

It is good for the club, for sure... I would be terrified if we wanted to rely on Eto'o or Dinho the same way..

Still, I think his "What would Jesus do?" attitude is just plain weird. It is not like he has had to fight his way out of the favelas.. nahhh.. he was just that boring kid in high school who would never go to a party.. (maybe he is actually from the mid-west and not Brazil)

With Dinho it's also that agent of his. That's the thing with players, if they have yes-men and poor advice around them, they will act accordingly.

Really? I can't think off too many better.

Christiano Ronaldo maybe, but I would say he's on par, Messi I rate very highly but I think in a few years he will be the best player in the world.

Having said that I don't think any player is worth 60 million, what if they were bought for that and then went downhill or got a serious injury? for 60 million Madrid could be buying at least 2 or 3 top class players to strengthen the squad.

I'm praying that this is just rumors. That's just an insane amount of money and Kaka simply isn't worth it. Zidane cost less in a time when tranfers were much higher on average so I see no reason why Kaka, who is far from being as good as Zidane ever was IMO, would smash that record fee. There is a 4-year age diference, but that still doesn't make up for it.
