on the other side sagnol is to good for the bench, hitzfeld has a huge problem

when we look at other teams, like MANU, they only have $h!t fullbacks on the bench, and as starter too

I think 3 quality fullbacks, with 1 who can play at either side, is a requirement these says, for rotation when you are challenging on 3 fronts. Its a "problem" which hitzfeld desperately needs to get Bayern backk to their level and stature.

No he doesn't. Play Sagnol and let the other two duke it out. You're thinking about die Mannschaft, and not Bayern. German bias meddling with your rational thinking.

Agree with bluenine, although I believe that in the long run, Jansen and Lahm will be the first choice fullbacks for Bayern. Sagnol is not getting any younger, and he seems to be injury prone also, while Lahm is already as good as him at least (no bias, just watch him play).

Bayern's major asset, and the major asset of die Mannschaft btw., are excellent fullbacks on both sides. It's them who provide width in the double-pivot 4-4-2 system both die Mannschaft and now Bayern play. For that system to work properly, you need pacy fullbacks who are strong in the attack, and good crossers also. Sagnol's problem, compared to the other two, is that he almost never runs through to the line before he puts the crosses in, even if he is an excellent crosser indeed.

Now that Lahm and Jansen play together for both, club and country, they can be even more efficient by coordinating their runs.

Sell Sagnol to Madrid for 30 million.
