For me it's Bayern, if Barcelona hadn't paid so much for Henry they would probably be first.

Despite what people say, i think Real Madrid....If they just signed a quality striker instead of Saviola then definitly the best. Still say Barca will win the league though.
Bayern did well but i don't think it's as great as people make out.
As for man u, ours is the best of course, but you wont realise that for awhile

    Bayern or Barca’s.

The problem with ours imo is although we have greatly improved the squad our first team isn’t any stronger.

& with Giggs and van der Sar declining and Neville and Saha always injured we needed to.

I will say Bayern because Henry might not even get into the Barca first team.

The Man Utd signings are good but more for the future.

Bayern for me. They've spent a lot but they've signed some class players, and just as importantly they've started to play fantastic football for the first time in a while. Their signings also look certain to lead them to success and silverware this season.

If we had him, we would probably have more than 2 points in the league, so yeah we have missed him, as Oshea, Campbell and Tevez havent filled the gap.

Did you see his class goal for Villareal the other day hyperkimbole?

Well he would have been match fit for a start.

He would have continued his great Parma form (as Osasuna found out the other day) and would have scored at least 2 of the 4 open goals that Tevez missed, in 2 games.

To be fair, Julio Cruz would have scored 2 or 3 of those open opportunities that tevez missed... but that does not mean Cruz is better than Tevez.

Tevez is much better than Rossi, and IMO even edges Rooney. Sometimes players take time to settle in a new team.

Barça definitely. It was very clear what their tema needed and they signed exactly that. They got rid of the white drogba(a.k.a. Maxi Lopez, they sayRijkaard didn't want him because he had an affaire with Monique(frank's wife)) and some other $h!t elements, and signed Henry to keep Ronaldinho alert and on his toes(?).

Looking at that, in terms of value for money, the two Italian teams have done best. Inter have spent very little but have improved their squad to the point where I dont see any gaps, and theyve added significant new options to their team - in a sense, they have done similar to Barca but for less money. Roma, who had a good first eleven but whose squad looked light, have largely solved that problem to the point where they have a very strong squad in defence and midfield. I think, having loaned out Montella and Okaka, they look a little light in attack on paper, but with the way they play that may not be so in reality.

Bayern have also done well, in that they, more than any of the other teams there, have probably brought in more quality than anyone might have expected.

Roma did well considering the money they have though i still think they should have bought a backup for De Rossi since they don't have one (unless they pull Perrotta back).

Inter on the other hand, they bought exactly what they didnt need - a centre back and a striker. These positions were already strong. Conidering Vieira and Cambiasso's injury problems last term they couldve bought a new central midfielder, and considering Zanetti and Figos age, a new Right Winger. Even Mancio has recently said he wants reinforcements on the right (which Moratti said no to).

Considering that Materazzi might be out for 5 months now, I don't agree with ya Bobo.... we would sink without Chivu!

Cambiasso, Vieira and Dacourt are enuf in the central midfield, considering that Stankovic can also play there well. How many teams have more?

Maicon, Zanetti and Figo are sufficient for the right for now... I would ve prefered a Figo replacement this summer, but perhaps we could wait till January and assess the situation.

I know Roma bought Barusso, who I dont know much about besides the fact he received lots of praise last season. Generally, looking at their squad I think they should have plenty of cover for the centre of midfield.

With Inter, I dont really agree that they lack strength in midfield. Considering the options Chivu gives and the general strength they have in defence, Zanetti could easily be pushed forward if needed to provide cover either for the centre or the right. That would give, for instance, a choice of Vieira, Dacourt, Cambiasso and Zanetti in the centre of midfield, Stankovic and Solari for the left, then Figo and Jiminez for the right. I agree that, with Figos age, the one area they maybe could have strengthened further is on the right, but I still think they look good there - they have Figo for one more year and can look at Jiminez whenever he gets an opportunity. Suazo adds pace to Inters front line - the one thing they were lacking - and both him and Chivu also allow Inter to experiment with a 4-3-3.

spending a chelsea type sum of money on a fairly unspectacular mob is hardly an impressive transfer campaign

sure their team will be a bit better to watch this year... but not by much Wink

it reeks of spending for spendings sake, rather than any clear plan

expect another 30 million to be spent in january then another 50 next summer

    Whistle

or maybe they will all somehow gel into a formidable team

bayern have done a great job

united have got exactly what they needed in hargreaves and an excellent prospect in nani

we have signed a superstar Laughing and and increasingly impressive babel and got rid of a load of dross so im also happy
