    Van der Vaart scored now 7 times in a row for HSV in the Bundesliga... Only HSV legend Uwe Seeler did that before....

    So the question is who is the better player....?

    You guys actually think he is better than Uwe Seeler?? The only player apart from Pele to score in 4 world cups?? Uwe Seeler is one of the greatest german players of all time!

    I hope you guys are just taking the piss, coz this looks like a "CR > Pele" kind of thread to me...

    He was like the German version of Roberto Baggio... very different type of players, but the most popular german player according to most Germans I know just like Baggio is to Italians... did not play a part in any world cup win for them, but scored at least 2 goals in 4 world cups that he played in - a feat NO ONE has ever done in history! Infact I remember when Boris Becker won his second wimbledon, a german reporter mentioned that he is fast becoming germanys most popular all time sportsman after Uwe Seeler!!

    Ricardo Jol is probably just taking the piss...

    I knew about him I knew he was a German legend. I was amazed nobody knew him... To be honest I forgot how good he really was.. If he were English, Brazilian or Dutch we all knew everything about him! tongue
