Juventus reportedly have a £11m deal to sign Rafael Van Der Vaart from Hamburg in June and could confirm it as early as next week.
According to German newspapers, negotiations for the wide man have been successful and a five-year contract drawn up.
Although Van Der Vaart would only make the move in July, it is claimed the two clubs could make the details official as early as next week ahead of a medical in Turin.
His contract with Hamburg expires in July 2009, but he has refused all offers to renew the deal, so a sale is necessary to avoid releasing the player for a fixed £1m fee.
Van Der Vaart’s price-tag could rise further after Euro 2008, as he is set to star in Italy’s group for Holland and in the Bundesliga has already netted 26 goals in 59 games.
So Juventus are diving in early with a bid of £11m to snap up the young Dutch talent with a tempting five-year contract.
The Bianconeri are looking for a reinforcement in midfield and had also been linked with the likes of Eder Banega, Ivanovic and Frank Lampard.
Van Der Vaart has already hinted at his preference for the Turin giants. “I can already see myself in a Juventus shirt,” he told local newspapers.
