France are expected to ask for Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifier to be postponed after the squad's plane was unable to land in the Faroe Islands.
France must win the match as they look to get their qualification hopes back on track having lost to Scotland in their previous match.
"The federation will ask for the game to be postponed because these are extraordinary circumstances," said a source from the French Federation.
The team plane was diverted to Bergen in Norway due to bad weather.
Les Bleus will either fly to the Faroes on Saturday morning or take a ferry to fulfill the Group B fixture.
Uefa rules state that a team have to arrive at the match venue 24 hours before kickoff, which was scheduled for 1500 GMT on Saturday. However, Uefa's delegate for the match is stuck in Iceland.

Sorry...but I'd like Kazakhstan to take something...as I want Finland to qualify.Rasiak-9 wrote:If Poland can take all three points against Kazakhstan (which should be fine provided they don't crack under the pressure) then they should have one foot in the finals.
As for England, they should have little difficulty polishing off Estonia.

Hope so it's part of my bet.Deano Ashton wrote:jonathan de guzman wrote:Anyone else thinking Scotland will have it VERY difficult today? Unlike in the matches v Italy & France, they are the team which will have to attack. I fancy Ukraine's chances on a result. They're no pushovers.
I think Ukraine will win...I hope so anyway.
