it is a very interesting one. it would be a shame to be without italy or france but scotland would be so unlucky to miss out now.

it's worse when you look at that group where the top 2 is between greece, turkey and norway. that group seems so weak comparatively

Is there any other group that is this close?

Looking through the groups, A, D, F and G look settled.

    Group B is Scotlands group

Group C is between Norway and Turkey for that 2nd place. Their game in Norway will be massive.

Group E is Englands. Win or draw in Russia and they are through. Lose and its wide open

I'll be surprised if Turkey lose to Greece on home soil. That group will go down to the wire too.

it's quite well poised that one. if my sums are right, romania just need to beat albania at home & luxembourg away to be certain qualifiers. they also play at bulgaria.

if bulgaria win all 3 remaining games: albania (a), romania (h), slovenia (a), they could overtake netherlands if the dutch drop points in one of their remaining games: slovenia (h), luxembourg (h), belarus (a).

it looks like it should be romania & netherlands but i guess you never know

Holland *should* win their next 3 games , just need 7 points .. but its up to the coach to play a team which is capable of doing it , i never expect miracles but if you have the talent you would normally play to their strengths something the coach is not doing. Bulgaria have a tough game against Albania coming up , if they fail to win and Holland beat Slovenia .. it would seem Romania + Holland through

Scott Brown and Alan Hutton have pulled out of the Scotland squad to face Georgia on Wednesday through injury. Darren Fletcher is expected to feature.

That is a huge blow for Scotland.

There's a group of fans in Austria asking for the team to be kicked out as they'll only embarrass them.

Why not? Its been done before, this way Austrian football fans have a chance for glory as well. Same can be done for the UK and the Benelux.
