They haven't looked like conceding at all, then Howard got the ball and rolled it out to Lescott on the edge of the box. He wasn't expecting it, took a heavy touch and got robbed. The Larissa player was through on goal and buried it.

Villarreal equalise!!! Pires came on, and they got the goal, right at the end too. Capdevila gets the goal.

I read some amazing statistic, can't remember exactly, but apparently they've only lost 1 or 2 games since Pires has returned. He's not scoring a lot of goals, but has done the perfect job of replacing Riquelme, though in a different way.

Pires has been superb whenever I've seen Villarreal play. I'm glad he is doing well there, one of the very best players we've had under Wenger.

I still think letting him go is 90% of the reason behind Arsenal's decline in the past 2-3 seasons...no exaggeration.

The football he was playing, esp. his linkup with Henry, was nothing short of magical. Only now (with Rosicky and Hleb settling in) have Arsenal recovered.

Spurs are throwing everything at Getafe. This should be a great finish because they will still be susceptible to being hit on the break.

Don't think so he had lost his edge. Problem wasn't Pires was sold, problem was no replacement.
