Obviously this allows most of the Scottish players to get some extra rest. But I personally think it's grossly unfair, and UEFA shouldn't allow it. It's effectively bending the rules, because they know Italy can't do the same with their players.

Why not ?

Well, Barcelona won't postpone their match for Zambrotta, and if they do it in Serie A the whole league will have to be postponed.

well, Gordon, Mcfadden, Fletcher, Maloney wont be getting the break either and a few others. But it's a good idea from Scotland's point, slightly unfair.

i don't see it as unfair at all, the scottish league decide when fixtures are played not fifa or uefa.

It's the FA's job to ensure their sides do the best in each continental competition. If they wish to change their schedule, then so be it, it's not their fault we don't have a continental calendar.
