There's A German Cristiano Ronaldo?

Milan Close To Signing 'German Cristiano Ronaldo' AC Milan are closing in on the signature of Borussia Mönchengladbach's Marko Marin, according to Kicker.

The 18-year-old winger is described by some as the 'German Cristiano Ronaldo' and is one of the hottest young prospects currently in circulation.

Marin, who holds a Serbian passport, has played four times for the Germany Under-21 team, scoring one goal.

The youngster has attracted the attention of a host of European clubs, with Fiorentina and Ajax said to be particularly interested.

Milan have been following the Bosnia-born star for some time now, and according to Kicker they are close to coming to an agreement with Mönchengladbach.

It is unclear whether the transfer will go through in January or at the end of the season, although the latter seems more likely.

The Rossoneri have already signed one highly-rated teenager in the form of Brazilian wonderkid Alexandre Pato, who will be available to play after the New Year.

But he and Kroos are the future of Germany.

He looks a talented player from what I've seen of him (admittedly not that much). I think Chrissi rates him very highly and is hoping Werder Bremen try to sign him.

but less a C.Ronaldo than a young Messi

the boy is even smaller than Sneijder I believe and enjoys running in ziczac patterns rather than producing endless step-overs

a ridiculous wealth of talents



considering the competition, I would not be surprised if either Marin or Ozil opted to play for the country of their fathers

I'm not surprised he's scoring goals against shite opposition like that Otto.

what do you make of the plans for the London Olympics Stadium

I'm disappointed. Not so much with the design, but more with the initial size, which I thought could have had a 10-20,000 higher capacity, and secondly with its 'legacy'.

For the amount its costing you'd have thought they'd have come up with a better plan that to merely downgrade it to a 25,000 seater stadium at the end of the event. I would have least offered it to West Ham or Spurs so as to try and recoup some of the money. I concur that the design isn't great though.

Marko Marin was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina, but his parents are from Serbia. He came to Germany when he was two years old.

He could have played for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Germany, but decided to play for Germany.

So he's not a real Teuton

I always thought Lothar Matthaeus was the German Cry Ronaldo....

Any news on Marko Marin, any possible move or will anything not happen till the Summer. Ajax I've heard are still pursuing him.
