I'm referring to European matches...we know violence is an issue in the domestic league in Italy.

I'm talking about Lazio's Euro qualifier scratch

The Italian medias reported that the British were in an area they were repeatedly by both Roman and English security to stay away from, the bridge they fought on is a notorious area where opposing fans taunt a hardcore element of the Roma Ultras that looks for provocation.
The medias also report that the 16 year old was drunk and the other who was arrested were both treated 'for the effect of drink.'

More disgusting behaviour from the violent sections of the Ultras but again, this is violence outside the stadium and doesn't fall under the jurisdiction of the clubs since the police refuse their offer to have the clubs own stewards to deal with fan security. After the medias and police behaviour in manufacturing lies after Sandri's shooting, i prefer to wait for the events to emerge over the next couple of days before we assign who is to blame.

It was a joke response to his 'lets be sensible' but what i heard about the Lazio ultras in madrid yesterday and now this in rome, i really don't like these people.

A terrible shame. I've been to the Stadio Olimpico a few times, it really is a great stadium and not at one point did I fear for my safety. These people are not fans, they are hooligans and it saddens me that they are associated with this great club.

normally what happens when you go looking for trouble is that you find it ok

if people are told to stay away from certain problem areas and they go there then they are clearly looking for trouble
