This board should refer to Ronaldo as just Ronaldo and the other lesser one as C Ronaldo. That should be law imo.

Also, Milan would be silly to get rid of him in the Jan window, at least give him until summer.

I wonder if Sven will be interested in him if he is now fit. Id love to sign him, i think he showed at the end of last season he still has a lot to offer.

Would be a bizarre move. He's still a top player when he's fit, but the injury problems are just to much. I don't think he will ever stay fit for longer than a month. Them frogs poisened the guys tea before the world cup final, and since then it's been one injury after another. Shame cos he was THE BEST player around easily.

I would have loved him at man u even now, a great option to have when he's fit, and couldn't have complained about not starting every game due to his fitness. But really his motivation is not quite there, so for him personally a move back maybe is the best bet, but he's still better than Inzaghi and co <Ale>

It would be silly for them to get rid now. It's also doesn't uncharacteristic of Milan to let players go so suddenly. I mean afterall why buy in Ba, when you get rid of the likes of Ronaldo? Gila & Pippo aren't exactly setting the league alight at the moment, and they'd be silly to offload Ronaldo.

    Transfer Domino Effect in January

    > Ronaldo to Flamengo from AC Milan

    > Shevchenko to AC Milan from Chelsea

    > Anelka to Chelsea from Bolton

I wonder what odds you would get for that Question Idea

AC Milan have denied reports that they have started negotiations to sell Ronaldo to Brazilian outfit Flamengo.

The club issued a statement after Flamengo vice president Kleber Leite told Italian media he had been given permission to speak to the player.

"AC Milan denies that it started a negotiation with Flamengo for the transfer of Ronaldo," said the club.

"It denies also having authorised the Brazilian team for an eventual deal with the soccer player."

Ronaldo signed for AC Milan in January 2007 from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

But the three-time world player of the year has struggled to impress Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti and has also suffered a series of injuries.

The 31-year-old has made just one appearance for the European champions this season.

"We have made contact with the player and we are certain he can launch his career again here," Leite told Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ronaldo is in Brazil receiving treatment for a shin injury, but Leite claimed it would not hinder the transfer.

The striker's contract finishes in June 2008, but Milan will be hoping to get back some of the £5m they paid Real for the striker's services.

Flamengo are keen to upstage their city rivals Sao Paulo, who secured a six-month loan for Inter Milan's Brazilian international Adriano last week.

The club officially denies it, but Flamengo's president is speaking to Leonardo.
