    according to Hoeness

speculation about his successor now starts

    the names currently mentioned are

    1) van Basten

    2) Benitez

    3) Lothar

ALL THREE are simply lucirous, IMHO

van Basten has just failed with Oranje and does not play attractive football

Benitez is hardly an EPL success either and plays often unwatchable football + there's a danger he would overspent on certain Spanish players

Lothar : best scenario of the three, but really not experienced enough

    http://www.sport1.de/de/sport/artikel_2096577.html

    my suggestion would be

    1) Schuster , who was FAR KEENER to join Bayern last summer than Real

    2) Daum (extremely unlikely)

    3) Effenberg: again, ZERO experience, but he understands the club culture

    4) Schaaf: just to free the position at Bremen with somebody who understands international football

    5) Netzer: to finally discredit the man completely and get him off the airwaves

but please, under no circumstances, let it be a Dutchie like van Basten, Hiddink or Rijkaard

Bayern stand for successful and attractive football after all

No anti-Dutch sentiment here. Van Gaal or Hiddink would be my choices.

I'd really like Mourinho too, but that's never going to fly with Hoeness.

    Happy New Year all.

    @effe

    Mourinho plays almost unwatchable football

he would get criticised first and then sacked within a few weeks

Hiddink is VERY defensive as well: see above

van Gaal is way too stubborn and would clash with the board in no time

Veh was mentioned recently: would get eaten alive though

one article had Breitner as an option: now THAT would be hilarious

    I'm all for it

what about Scolari: could be a real option

I would actually love to see Klinsmann get the chance to manage Bayern. I know it's a long shot with the history between him and the club, but I like his style. I would HATE to see van Basten at the helm.

Maybe Hoeness should consider to retire a year earlier. Might be easier to find a new coach then without the Bavarian God Father always sitting beside him...

klinsmann is the right man, he knows the club and this man is steel (but honess vs. klinsmann, that could be a problem)

Van Basten at Bayern is a recipe for disaster, would love it.

Don't think Van Basten would play defensive as club manager, but just think he would clash with the Bayern Consiglieri within a few months. Van Gaal & Adriaanse would be a disaster too.

A mismatch like Adriaanse @ FC Porto. Always pick a manager that fits in the local culture. Loved it when Adriaanse made Porto play with 3 at the back... (& was declared insane)

If Bayern want a Dutch manager who fits in their culture & plays attacking footy too, they should go for FC Twente's Rutten. Tactical genius, who snubbed PSV's offer to become their manager. Best Dutch manager.

Klinsmann has never proven himself at club level though. So it might be a risk and I doubt Bayern are willing to take it.

    Klinsi is unlikely I think

he would never move back to German media scrutiny just to have Hoeness sitting on the bench next to him

Bayern really should break the bank for Schuster

otherwise, Lothar or Effe, despite justified reservations

would be good if he had Bavarian "Stallgeruch"

alternatively, I would go for Buchwald

the man has a great future

    #1

    hehe, hilarious lol!

Stevens says van Basten is not ready for Bayern

    lacks experience

Rijkaard would be better , but really the pressure in Munich would require somebody like Hiddink

La Stampa claims Bayern approached Lippi unofficially in order not get a public rejection

    I can't see it

then again, Toni and Ribery were new departures as well; so who knows

    brilliant stuff

the 19 year-old defender is a MASSIVE talent but has ZERO chance of clinching a spot at Bayern now

    similar development to Lahm

Is Rijkaard even a realistic target, either he will take a year from Football after he leaves Barça (or complete my dream of partnering with Cocu as the new head of Oranje). Sources close to me say Van Basten is 86% the next Ajax manager. Hiddink would be good for Bayern Ale

Poor excuse. he still had great players, a far better selction than any other Bundesliga club.

Are hoeness & Dummenigge also to blame for Poldi's great shape with 0 (zero) goals from 15 appearances. Or did Poldi slip through the qualitycontrol at the end of the conveyorbelt??

    no excuse needed

van Bommel believes the pressure at Bayern to be ludicrously high, in fact, higher than at Barca

    Yikes

at which other club do you have the commercial manager sitting on the bench and giving "Wasserstandsmeldungen" after EACH game

the main problem at Bayern is now the locker-room

    ie

    the TEAM

    or

    the lack thereof

there is ZERO unity (Kahn, the captain leaves the Xmas party early...)

tons of jealousy (look at Schweini, Sagnol...)

no will to win (according to Ze Roberto)

a problem of communication (according to Kahn: Toni and Ribery still speak ZERO German, making "hart wie Kruppstahl", "Rennen und Beissen"-Reden impossible)

then Kahn complains about Ribery and Toni via the media and gets publicly demoted by Hitz...

a complete mess and a text-bood study about how NOT to run a football club

very little Hitz can do about , when Hoeness and Dummenigge belittle him like a stupid schoolboy

Hitzfeld recently praised Van Basten saying he will become a exceptional coach, already has the qualities needed to survive and using some of the footballing experience he gained in Italy.

Sacchi, Cruyff, Capello and Michels .. surely he must have learnt something from one of these great managers.
