Secondly, Clichy in any league where athleticism wasn't the primary attribute would be shown up for the average player he is. Has he ever played particularly well in the CL? Not that I've seen. Internationally? Not really. So, aside from maybe a dozen games for Arsenal over the last two years where he's done pretty well, mostly against run of the mill sides, what has he done?
Just because there's a dearth of good left full backs in the league doesn't make Clichy a top class player. Have some fucking standards...

This is what amuses me about Arsenal fans - when the opponents have a bad game, it's always because the Arsenal player played so well.
