Afellay is sheer class. Wonderfully composed, two footed etc. Don't understand why he hasn't featured more regularly. Much better prospect than Sneijder.

Binnen twee weken heeft Jonathan de Guzman zijn Nederlandse paspoort binnen. De Canadese middenvelder van Feyenoord stelt zich kandidaat voor het Nederlands elftal.

In april 2006 vertelde De Guzman in Voetbal International een uitverkiezing voor Oranje in zijn achterhoofd te hebben bij zijn paspoortaanvraag. 'In de toekomst is dat ook makkelijk bij een eventuele transfer en ja, dan kan ik ook voor het Nederlands elftal uitkomen', zei de Canadees. 'Dat is voor mij niet de belangrijkste reden, maar slechts een mooie bijkomstigheid.'

He only want that pasport to get to the UK faster I guess...or wont that count cause Canada is a member of the Commonwealth??

Still...he won't make it! Good player, but he is even more injured then Robben.

If the worst team in the world, Holland under van basten, can win easily with 0-3 from Croatia.... How bad were the teams then thata were in the qualifying group...?
