I don't think so. São Paulo have more depth and a better coach. São Paulo's strikers are much better than Flamengo's, and you bought their reject Diego Tardelli. But Flamengo fans are better than bambis for a mile...

    ok

but I think their fans count a lot, and they can carry the team to the title.

for me, boca, são paulo or flamengo.

Yo Todo! watch Cienciano and Bolognesi give Flamengo all they can handle and then some. Boca and River are so afraid of Cienciano, and now Flamengo too. Biggrin

You guys never had a problem playing at a much higher altitude against Bolívar in La Páz. Cienciano are really pissed off Flamengo went to FIFA to try to move them from Cuzco, they say they're gonna destroy Flamengo in Cuzco and in Rio too. Shocked

Flamengo plays Bolognesi first, a team who believe they're gonna KO Flamengo and Nacional from Uruguay. We shall see, let the games begin. Biggrin <Ale>

Your team is good, very good indeed. That is why you'd better be careful with Bolognesi. They're out to whoop Flamengo's butt. Then it's Cienciano's turn to throttle ao Rubro-Negro, Boca Juniors style 3-0! Biggrin <Ale>

Yep! if San Martín were to have a goalscorer, a "9", they would've put 6 goals past River Plate. They have two very good forwards in Ovelar and Ruíz, but they're no "9" area men. They're fast, excellent dribblers, can easily beat their markers, but San Martín needed a van Nistelroy yesterday to make it 6-0 on River. Biggrin

I tell you this much, San Martín just got thousands and thousands of new fans. All the young kids have become instant supporters of this club founded in 2004. Humble organization with the right kind of people leading the club, no nonsense type of chairman, football director, manager, go get the results type of guys from top to bottom.

In less than 4 years they became Peruvian champions. Everyone was saying it was a fluke, but oh my, did they show it wasn't yesterday. Them River Plate guys were saying before the game "they must be good because they're the champs", and after the game they said "now we know why they're Peruvian champs". Biggrin <Ale>

I'd put it close to 100 fans average, but you get the picture. It was all them college students supporting the team. Yesterday it was a historic day for this team. From now on it's gonne be, 'before and after the River Plate match for these guys. They have a tough road ahead (América, U.Católica) to make it out of the group and avance to KO stages, but now they know they can do it.

Like I said earlier, they now have thousands and thousands of new fans, all them young kids who felt so much joy watching San Martín dismantling a big club in South American football. All them kids watching the game with their Alianza Lima or Universitario fan dads, or Sporting Cristal/Cienciano fan older brother. Now they have their OWN team, San Martín. Biggrin <Ale>
