Is there anywhere to get live coverage of this?! I gave up on South American football a couple of years ago when Gremio (Who I usually followed in the copa Libertadores) were relegated. Channel 4 do highlights late, right?!

São Paulo have a very good squad. They have quality players in every position and good reserves. It´s going to be very tough for Inter.

Inter players are very motivated. They will play the 2nd leg at home and will do everything to win the trophy for the first time.

I pick São Paulo, but anything can happen...

Damn, my "pirate" cable TV is finished, and I'll have to buy the premium channels soon.

I won't be able to see it, although I'll support Porto Alegre.

South American football has everything to be fantastic, but I think we're missing more clubs from other countries than Brazil and Argentina. Peñarol, Colo Colo, Atl. Medellin, ... so many clubs outside the 2 power nations that could and should fight among the best clubs.

Last week I told you that Sóbis was the best brazilian young player.

Anything can happen in the second leg. One of the best SP players was sent off before the 15th minute.

Nice game much better than the first leg final last year( 0-0 1-1 At. Paranaeinse Sao Paulo;later Sao Paulo would win 4-0). Had a bit of everything. sending off's(1 for each team), goals, some bit of quarrel that did not go any futher...nice.
Sao Paulo will have to go seek the game away form home. Remeber that the away goal rule does not apply on this stage.

MOTM, Sobis, the "blondie"(?), was excelent.

    Barliette,

How good is Gonzalo Higuain? We've been linked with him today. I hear he's a striker but can play out wide - doesn't sound like the type of player we'd really need.

Well he has been scoring lately and is very highlt motivated now and that shows in his game but he is no certainty yet. We'll have to see how he responds when Passarella gets all his striikers on form I think that Paletta is enough of a bet for Liverpool. these players that aren't so talented and great, they need more time to actually perform on a team. It's not like you would be getting a top class player that could solve much of your problems instantly. But who knows River is so badly managed nowadays that I woudln't be surprised if they gave him awaya for free...last thing they did was refuse to buy 50% of Figueroa's pass for 2 million dollars to Villareal...next thing Villareal sell Figueroa for 10 million Euros...that's the kind of thing they are doing now

EDIT: I posted a video link in the Apertura thread, you can see him there...he's good but he does not stand out much really.

At 21 Sobis had scored against Boca at La Bombonera twice, against Corinthians at Pacaembu and São Paulo at Morumbi. All very important matches, especially against Corinthians and São Paulo. Really impressive. According to his agent, Sobis is likely to move to a german club.

Sheva, what do you think of Deivid...the former Corinthinas and Santos man?

I know he's a big gun in Brazil, but the guy is garbagde in Portugal. Liedson is about 100 times the player this fool is.

Liedson was better, but Deivid played well for Corinthians, Cruzeiro and Santos. Don´t you think that MSI would pay 3 million for him? I´m sure they would.
