complaining about their ludicrously pro-EPL coverage

    take a look at this

    http://edition.cnn.com/SPORT/football/
    Top Football Stories

    • Cameroon on course for fifth title
    • Sven urges City fans to pay respect
    • Premier League plans to take games abroad
    • Torres to miss crucial Chelsea game
    • Michel dismissed as Morocco coach
    • Capello opens England reign with win
    • Impressive Italians see off Portugal

there is a big article on the left about the Africa Cup

then there is an article about Ballack back to his best at CHELSEA (ie EPL related)

and then, the ABOVE Top Stories

5 out of 9 are EPL or English football related

Capello at England is more important than let's say Germany-Austria; Holland-Croatia; France-Spain...

despite the fact that ALL of those countries have qualified for the European Cup and England have NOT

    ------------------

this is the drivel the Yankies are feeding the entire world via CNN

admittedly, it seems as if the majority of the Europe based football correspondents are ENGLISH , and therefore simply move in their limited mental circles

it's the same at the International Herald Tribune where the English moron Rob Hughes writes stuff like "the FA is the most prestigious Cup in the World "

    ------------------

    so

who's up for a collective EMB letter of complaint to CNN and IHT Question

Try to find anything on the BBC site about Germany-Austria; Holland-Croatia; France-Spain.

    That's what I find shocking...

They speak English in America so there's bound to be more English correspondents than others. I doubt CNN's international "soccer" section would get many hits if their articles were all in Spanish or Dutch.

As for the bulk of the coverage being about the Premiership - again, it's mostly due to the language factor, but also because the Premier League is the most well known and best marketed league outside of Europe. Hence why most people in America know and follow English clubs (and again this explains the "39th game" story doing the rounds since yesterday).

their rubbish reaches EVERY corner of the globe and thereby influences opinions and everything related to them (transfer values, TV ratings, advertising revenues...)

same applies to the BBC and it's propaganda

it's pull, not push, i.e. you to choose to go to cnn.com's football section

you don't have to read the rubbish & by doing so you increase the number of pageviews, making you a sponsor...
