    0 with 3 sub appearences.

Playing every game at age 19 (?) isn't necesarrily a good thing btw. Players should be eased into the first team as much as possible.

If you look, playing a player week in week out as a teenager isn't always a good thing. I mean, Liverpool will tell you that if you play a teenager almost non-stop, they will eventually be very likely to burn out.

At least Obi Mikel has got on in every match. I'm not sure why everyone is moaning? scratch

We'll tell you that if you rely on one of them so much that you rush them back from serious injuries, just because the rest fo the team is lagging, is a very bad mood.

He should be getting more than sub appearences. Just not necessarily a first team regular - but every player develops at different stages.

10 league starts - 15 over all - plus 15 or so sub appearences is a very good total.

For a player who was 2 years ago the 2nd best player at the World Youth Cup he should be ready for regular first team football (which he played in Norway before all this shit).

He's made a shockingly poor decision. Chelsea have never been a club for bringing youth through the ranks (Premiership era), and even less so now they've got 30 10 million+ players in their ranks.

I am still gutted - if we had got Obi and Diarra - we would not have needed Carrick and would have had the best MF in Europe! Doh

Why do you hate Carrick so much? He isnt world class but he is the best we could get at the moment.

Nutters is what is known in general circles as a fantasist... he gets an idea in his head and doesn't let it go, ever.

It explains the 25 million "Torres to Man Utd" threads we've seen him start this summer.

Also it is in our tradition to have a core of British players, I dont think we should stop that as long as we can afford to keep it up.

That's assuming Obi is already top class, and even then Diarra would have cost more than Carrick on his own. Man U should be happy with the money, they should have used it to buy a more proven player (i.e. Diarra) - with the likes of Rooney, Vidic, Rossi, Jones, Richardson etc... I really don't see why you want more young talents in the team right now.

As for Obi, I'm still not entirely sure where Mourinho wants to put him - or for that matter where he'll be going tactically over the next couple of years. But he seems pretty verstaile so if there's an injury he could very quickly move into the foreground. Until then it might be best if he made the adaptation from Norweigan football to the Premiership under less pressure.

    .

Sorry mate, that's what I meant to say Doh

Obi Mikel will start his fair share of games. Let us not forget we're only 3 games into the season ffs, and we're still trying out new formations with what JM thinks is the best starting 11.
