I would have liked to see Ballack play and the two Coles.
The game isn't that bad but I must admit Chelsea haven't contributed much yet. Half decent shot from Lampard just then.

    Dont want him.

    who is ur first choice?
Karim would be my first choice like Torres could have been , he would be perfect to head the attack , Mario is another choice ,Agbonlahor is another.
Will have to think about this , we dont want another striker who will go deep we need someone who uses channels streches defences and be there to finish things at times , pace is going to be an imp factor as he has to keep up with the pace of our direct attack.

I would love Benzema but i can't see it happening. I think Berbatov can do what you say. For pace we got Ronado, Rooney, Nani.
He wont be able to keep up whats the point , we attack with pace whats the point of the striker if we wait for the striker to get in the position.

If SAF plays him as a target man, who holds the ball up and links up play then i don't see the problem with pace.

What has Chelsea's 'brute force' got to do with this game? There's hardly been a foul. I presumed you were talking more generally as your comment was irrelevant to this game so made a similar general comment about your lot Smile.

Good to see Robinson justifying his recall. What a shambles of a keeper, Ramos has barely done a thing wrong, but bringing back this clown was always going to be a mistake.

I too was getting bored by this match, but looking more closely, it's perfect tactics from Grant - he knows Ramos' teams like to attack with high pace and intensity, down the flanks, and counter a lot. So he's told his players to keep possession as much as possible, and only make slow buildups so that even if they lose the ball, Chelsea do not lose their shape. And although it makes you want to slit your wrists, it's working.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that a team of Chelsea's quality shouldn't really be taking this approach of worrying about the opponent first, then themselves. It's a negative, annoying, Benitez/Mourinho approach to football.

He hasn't wasted a single pass this half from what i can remember.

And yeah his passing is much more progressive than makelele's - see his role in drogba's goal in last season's fa cup final for example.

He's more of an attacking midfielder. so his natural instinct is to pass the ball forward.
