Sunderland defender Russell Anderson has joined Plymouth on a month-long loan.
Anderson switched to Sunderland from Aberdeen last summer but has had limited opportunities to impress at The Stadium of Light.
He spent much of the first half of the season on the sidelines after suffering a serious ankle injury.
The Scot has made just one appearance in the Premier League and
has now been allowed to link up with Plymouth for more regular
football.
Paul Sturrock has signed Anderson in time for Tuesday's
Championship clash with Southampton and could hand the centre-back an
immediate debut.
The move for Anderson comes just hours after Gary Teale agreed a loan move from Derby to Home Park.
