    lol! lol! lol!

    Ditto.

Torres is quicker and a better athlete, but Yak is the better footballer & finisher IMO + he's more two footed.

The Yak is also ahead in terms of the predatory instinct, movement, timing of runs and so on. Torres, like Ronaldo, is nothing special tactically speaking.

Consider how often Cronaldo gets into tap-in situations I would say Critiano is very good tactically...for a striker.

That's more a function of his pace. Given that even in his best games he gives the ball away needlessly at least half a dozen times, I'd say that it's the weakest part of his game.

Disappointed we never tried to buy the Yak when it was evident he was leaving Boro. After Drogba, Rooney and Adebayor he's probably the best and most complete striker in the Prem.

The thing is...Liverpool fans fail to see qualities in other players, if they know they are better than their own (Yakubu>>>Torres)...

Next we'll be hearing Arbeloa>Evra from these deluded bar stewards...

I was banging on about him as a replacement for Saha at Man U but a lot of people laughed me down at the time...

He doesn't have the pace and acceleration which Torres for example has - that will stop him from being among the very best.

Instead he'll use his strength to out-muscle the very best defenders and score instead, rather than run around like a pansy who can sprint.

Yakubus only problems are that he's a c**t and he's $h!t in the air most of th etime. He's brilliant at holding up the ball, his finishing is very good..better when he's going purely on instinct, he can falter a bit when he's got too much time to think...his vision and passing can be massively underrated. People didnt seem to realise how involved he was in the build up of so many of our goals when he was here. He got alot of assists and they're obviously only for the ones where he touched the ball last before whoever had the shot. Some of the passes he used to pick out were brilliant. Look at Vidkua's goal(possibly both his goals) against Basle in the UEFA 2nd leg. He's got alot of pace..he's strong..he's decent at dribbling.

Sadly when he cant be arsed to play he's not worth having, as we found out. He wanted to go and couldne be bothered to play well..

    Example:

Torres vs Richards and Dunne=No joy, the Man City CB's completely ousted him from the game.

Yakubu vs Richards and Dunne=Scored, caused them constant problems all night.

Torres vs Ferdinand and Upson=No joy, Torres wasn't even in the match.

Yakubu vs Ferdinand and Upson=Caused problems, Everton won the match.

Yet accelaration and pace is what matters?

Yak's strength troubles defenders immensly. I remember the amount of trouble he caused Vidic and Ferdinand with his mere presence fighting for the ball.

As for better than Torres I say no, because Torres has better technical ability.

His pace, strength and ability to hold up the ball as a combination causes every CB pairing problems. I just gave two clear examples of when a decent CB pairing was undone by Yakubu, yet had Torres in their pockets...

Don't know about you saints but I've never seen Messi or Kaka push a ball 10 yards in front of themself and chase it. I certainly wouldn't put them in the same list as Henry.

I cant belive we started with the same team as the derby, fair enough they were brilliant against U*d but it was too defensive for tonight. Corluka is miles ahead of Onuoha in terms of ability and it makes no sense at all to leave him out.

Im just so dissapointed cos tonight was a massive game and we just fizzled out the second they scored and let our heads drop. Cos before their goal we dominated and if we had scored i believe we'd have won. We just lacked purpose tonight which is crazy in such a big game.

We now have to win agianst Wigan and against Brum to keep up an assault for the UEFA Cup spots. I said at the start of the season id be happy with a top 10 spot but now after us being in the top 6 most of the season and top 4 till december i will be a bit gutted to see us not end the season in a UEFA Cup place.

Credit to Fernandes tonight who was great, not only in breaking up play but linkng up going forward, he owned the midfield and hs a very bright future.

Petrov was stupid to get sent off, least it give Castillo a chance to show what he can do.

Very impressed with Everton, one of the best teams ive seen in a while. Solid at the back closing down and blocking everything. Thier midfield is direct but passes it well, and they alwa look dangerous in going forward. They are a well drilled unit and if Liverpool dont get their fingers out Everton will take 4th spot this season.
