Mourinho: "I want to kill chelsea"

Jose Mourinho has revealed plans to "kill" Chelsea when he returns to football management.

The former Blues boss is eager to meet the club in European competition next season and knock them out.

"If I play them in the Champions League, I want to go there and kill them - that's my message," he said.

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old denied he had signed a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona but said he was ready to return to management.

Despite expressing his desire to beat Chelsea in Europe next season, he admitted he still felt a close connection with the club.

"I still feel Chelsea is a part of me, I'll have Chelsea in my heart forever," added the Portuguese.

"I left and for five months you couldn't get a bad word from me in relation to the club and you cannot do it in the future too."

And Mourinho said his relationship with the club's owner Roman Abramovich was good after reports at the time of his departure in September 2007 suggested he left Stamford Bridge because of a rift between himself and the Russian billionaire.

"I think it was last week that I spoke with people from the club," he said.

"I was speaking with Mr Abramovich and chief executive Peter Kenyon because we keep in touch.

"I was telling them I wish them always good, I wish them always to succeed, I wish them always to win."

No, not at all you English fucko!

In fact, me and some other posters here (if my memory doesn't betray me they were Ricardo, DeGuzman and/or Axe) saw the EPL Big Four doing well in CL THREE SEASONS AGO! The same teams in the competitions year after year after year can only improve in the competition.

We (those posters mentioned and I) also predicted EPL clubs such as Tottenham and Aston Villa improving as well.

It MUST KILL you that it's been JOHNNY FOREIGNERS through and through raising the level of the EPL, from club owners, coaches, and players. You're right English fucko! It must kill us the EPL's Big Four are doing well in the CL.

Jose Mourinho has contacted Sky Sports News in a bid to ward off a possible war of words with former club Chelsea.



The charismatic and colourful Portuguese gave an interview earlier in the day when he said he would be out to 'kill' the Stamford Bridge side if he came up against them in the UEFA Champions League.


Mourinho, who has been out of the game since his exit from the Premier League giants in September, is keen to return to management next season, with Italy or Spain the most likely destinations.


And he initially said: "If I play them (Chelsea) in the Champions League, I want to go there and kill them - that's my message."

But the former Porto boss has since been in touch with Sky Sports News via text message to clarify his comments.


He said: "(I meant kill) in a good way, funny way. I told them I love them and want them to succeed, but if I play them one day... I want to win."


Mourinho enjoyed great success during his stint with the London club, claiming back-to-back Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two League Cups.


He remains a hugely-popular figure with the Stamford Bridge faithful after helping the club to their first league title in 50 years.

Well his original comments does seem he said it in a funny tongue-cheek way, because he than talks about his love of Chelsea and he still has chelsea in his heart etc etc.

Come on, this is clearly one of those cases where a journalist has asked him how he'd feel about playing against Chelsea in his new job (wherever it is), and he's given an honest answer - that he'd want to beat them, just as he'd want to beat any team.
