This is great
Two teams playing the same formation passing the ball around their own half while the other team purposefully backs off and lets them

no no both teams are known for their attacking football without any care for defence. you must be watching a different game.COTR wrote:This is great

They remind me of inter
They need a bit of english passion to win this. Fergie will not be this negative at home so while they are like this is roma's only chance
Vidic going off. Big blow to united

Re: Roma vs. Man. United thread
I have been surprised that Pizzaro so far has played the best of the midfield tro. Aquilani has also done well while De Rossi has not set his mark on the game. quite boring game without much intent from both teams.bluenine wrote:Roma look so toothless without Totti... Re: Roma vs. Man. United thread
Made in England, finished in Portugal.
What a header. Kudos to Ronaldo. Brave
Rooney got the break through though with that turn, and set up by Scholes.
But no doubt we'll hear nothing of it tomorrow as the Ronaldo wankathon continues

lol@ Cassetti's attempted header. I'm sure how we'll hear how Ronaldo played amazingly though even though he spent most the match whining like a little bitch.
Ferdinand struggling with Vucinic though thats not suprising.

The irony is he is probably the best finisher in the World currently, not creative talent - he provided the emphatic finish to rooney and scholes' creative work

Is this a normal roma performance bluey?
I know united have a great defence, but for a team so hyped up to be so utterly useless at home in a match like this is hard to believe.

Really? Apart from the first 5 minutes and that Vucinic attempt, Ferdinand has been excellent. That last ditch interception from Mancini's pass was probably goal saving

Re: Roma vs. Man. United thread
That was a pathetic dive by Ronaldo, which got Pizzaro the yellow card. You can see the reaction time, after Pizzaro touched him, and Ronaldo deciding to take a tumble.

Roma havent been terrible. They've just not created very much and look in awe of United. Not suprising seeing as their most important player is injured and they are playing the side who annihilated them last year

I guess Totti not on the field for such a big game has really dented their confidence.COTR wrote:bluenine wrote:yes, it is over. Terrible defending.Sheffield gunner wrote:Ronaldo scores. Welcome to the FC Ronaldo show. He is such a media darling here now that even the commentators overlook he petulant diving, which I counted at least 4 or 5 times so far in this game
