Roma were aweful, it really doesn't do the Italian league much credit. They didn't ever look like scoring, and that's with the dodgy penalty. f that had gone it it would surely have been a different game and you might have some video footage of SAF saying "Oooops" and introducing Rooney and his first team post haste.

That's why I don't bash him too much. At times his approach works when we need to be more dimensional. Not to mention he is a big game player.

Unlikely. They are not yet into big CL matches I remember that with Man utd and Arsenal in the late 90's. It takes a while to find your feet as a club at this level and I think soon enough if they maintain their squad they'll be there but I don't see how things would be any different if the played Barca.
