But in the semis, Barça will be out unless Roma make it through, then it'll be a close-run thing.

Schalke vs. Barcelona thread
No doubt Otto will tell me otherwise, but we really got lucky with this one. Again, after Celtic in the Round of 16. Even better that the 2nd leg is at home.
But in the semis, Barça will be out unless Roma make it through, then it'll be a close-run thing.

yes nice draw for messi to miss.
barca can do utd if they are with it, would be a couple of classic games imo.

Don't underrate schalke as i saw them outplay chelsea at home and were very unlucky not to win. Saying that i fully expect barca to progress, u got the best draw of all the top teams left

The expected recovery time was 6 weeks, so that means he'll be back a week before the semis
Now we have to make sure we get there.

Get Dinho, Deco and Xavi out, bring Maxi Lopez in and you'll be fine

I have this feeling deep down that they will too, but i aslo think we can do it because of a number of factors.
Like deco really wanting is 3rd CL Medal, and as such he will step up he Came to ensure that that happens.
the French fucker only came to the Nou camp to win the CL as well, so hopefully he gets us a goal in either the QF/SF?.
Among other things let me feel that we are in with a shout.

Opposite for me...Roma are beatable (though it'll be v. tough like Arsenal in the CL final) whereas Man. United combine the strengths of an English team (our biggest weakness) with attacking football that can bamboozle our defense.

So how much did it cost to fix the draw? Easy opposition, avoid liverpool etc etc

They try to play a more controlled game in europe( which they aren't good at imo - doesn't get the best out of them), they are a team u can beat. Liverpool would have been a totally different story.

In fact, my order of preference for the English sides was Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man. United.
The revenge factor always seems to work in European football, which is why I'm giving Roma a big chance this time.

Didn't cost much, we beat Celtic 4-2 on aggregate but lost Messi. He should be back for the semis though
No referee help means no win for madriZZZ. Start buying the refs in the CL and you might get past the 1/8's

I think man Utd are the less english of they four left, which is one of the reason i think we can beat them.

We played well to go through easily against Lyon. Ok, Stuttgart and Rangers are poor.
Your group wasn't exactly hard either - Lazio are in trouble in Serie A, Werder have their own problems, and Olympiakos are Olympiakos. Yet you took a while to finally get through.

We haven't won it! But at least we're still in it unlike madriZZZ. It's not our fault that the refs don't favour your team in Europe!!
