They're still Germans. It's ain't over until they've showered and are in the plane back home. They'll keep going. 1 goal could make Barcelona insecure again. Pity Schalke's attack bar Altintop is so poor.

We've just redefined "jammy". Worst half of "football" I've seen in a long time from this Barça. Schalke are still very much in the game. The only heartening thing is Puyol having a decent game.

Imagine Schalke playing with a striker like Ruud or KJH instead of Kuranyi : they would have scored three goals in the first half

Was the best player, but Barcelona need him in La Liga too. Understand the decision, would rather have him still on the pitch though. Great player.

Have that feeling too. On the other hand Barcelona still have a lot of quality. Marquez back will be a boost.

I'm going for Barca purely for the fact everyone backs United.

I think what Puyol did was purely professional. He kows that he will be more needed in the return leg in Manchester.
Milito was also on alert, that's why he was rested. Now Rijkaard can have Milito in the first leg and Puyol in the second, unless Milito doesn't get booked in the first game, which i very much doubt.
As for the game, I can't belive how awful we are.
And Schalke only managed to score 6 times in 10 games, so i knew that they wont score ven from a penalty.

Well one would think we would get a good chance but we always underperform against Barça and Real to be honest. But yeah the though of a good opportunity missed does come by.

The reason i was pissed of was because we've gone out of the competition against a weaker team. They attacked 45m in all the tie and then defend till the penalties. Granted we'v missed so many opportunities that we were punished for it but still one feels bad about it. It is not even the penalties, that is a lottery. It is more because the way we were out of it.

And you guys are so pessimistic, you must belive a little more in your team. You guys are just 2 games aways from the final, any player raises his game at these times and you are facing an attack team so if you perform well it is anybody's game.

It's not because we are naturally that way, just something we've learned the hard way over the past 2 seasons. Check the result of every single game of importance we've played in the past 2 seasons, and you'll see that we've lost or drawn (in a very unfortunate manner like against Espanyol last year) almost all of them.

Of course all of us hope we are wrong and these players indeed raise their game, but they have had so many opportunities to do so, and continually failed. Also, although Man. Utd. are indeed an attacking team, let's not forget how good their defense is. Apart from Brown, the other 3 at the back are all brilliant players and will have no problem stopping our attack, except Messi.
