He has been at his brilliant best in the last 2-3 weeks... I am willing to forgive and forget his 18 months of Cr@p play if he continues like this for 5 more Serie A games and helps us win the scudetto.Forza Italia!Forza Milan! wrote:bluenine wrote:Yeah, but your city rivals are back in top form.... and the derby is just around the corner....Forza Italia!Forza Milan! wrote:Great stuff. Vieira looks very good, I must say.
Very important win!!Protheus wrote:Great win for Inter and they have been pretty much in control all match except a small period in the first half.
The Scudetto is still Inter's to lose.
A cool head for a 17 yr old, he has scored coupla similar goals this season for Inter. Thats goal no 6 in 9 games (5 starts). A kid for the future.Hlebtastic wrote:Inter's performance in the 2nd half is very impressive. They just went up a gear or 2, scored their goals and slowed the game from then.
I liked their 2nd goal; pass from vieira(with the outside of his foot) to cruz to mario with a cool finishhttp://101greatgoals.magnify.net/item/RSHYG4B1N44SY2NV
He was very good tonight, our second best player after Vieira.Hlebtastic wrote:@bluey
what do u think of Burdisso?
I have always questioned his inclusion in Inter's starting 11, but he was very good tonight.

Burdisso is an enigma, whenever he plays for us, he is fantastic. But he is still lower down the pecking order. He was amazing last season, and I thought he had finally arrived (coz he has been a backup/apprentice for Cordoba for over half a decade now!!!). But then he lost his head in the CL against Valencia, and then got injured.... and again slided down the pecking order.
But one thing is for sure, he is a great 3rd back-up CB to have, as is Rivas. Our CB's when fit:
First choice - Cordoba and Samuel
Second Choice - Materazzi & Chivu
Third Choice - Burdisso & Rivas
Thats the reason why Inter has by far the best defensive record in Serie A over the last 2 years, inspite of the multiple injuries. Ouite frankly, there is not much of a quality difference between the 6 defenders.... there is a difference of experience, with 3 old guns and 3 younger ones - perfect combo!
That was in his first season in 2004. I think thats what created the bond between Burdisso and Inter.... otherwise, a player of his class and pedigree would never agree to be 3rd choice back up!! But he has never complained. And I think he will sooner or later become a starter - specially since some of our defenders are nearing retirement (Samuel/Cordoba/Matrix)...Barrilete_Cosmico wrote:he was out for like 9 months because his daughter had an illness(leukemia or something) and started playing again when?? a year ago??bluenine wrote:He was very good tonight, our second best player after Vieira.Hlebtastic wrote:@bluey

Gattuso has been a class player, but this season he has been very disappointing. Not sure whether he is past it or just having a bad season. But I wouldn't want him at Inter, personally I rate our DMs more.Parks lives wrote:bluenine wrote:Apparently Milan have transfer listed Gattuso:

Two seasons ago I'd of loved Gattuso. Would of been happy with spending around £15 million on him.
Can't see him fetching more than £5-6 million now though (around 8 - 10 million euros).

And I hope Donadoni realises that De Rossi >> Gattuso.

Come on, liverpool, buy him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Puro wrote:Yo TD! word has it that Ranieri has asked Secco to get him my man Vargas. He's made him his top target in the Summer transfer window. True story or what?
If it's true, then Ranieri must compete with Roma, Milan, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Valencia. Fiorentina just pulled out from this race for "El Loco" services because they couldn't/wouldn't pay the 13 mil Catania are asking for my fellow Inca Warrior.

Vargas is too good to risk with Juve, Milan, and their like. Easily the best LB in Serie A this season.
I would love Inter to sign him!! If only to stop him go to our title rivals. We should get rid of Solari and Cesar, and get Vargas!Puro wrote:bluenine wrote:

I wouldn't mind Vargas playing for Rafa and Liverpool. Something tells me that Milan will end up with "El Loco". A friend swears that Roma will get him. Watch Inter signing him now.
