Good pressure by Fiorentina since the second goal.

What a cool finish by young Balotelli. Thats 6 goals in 9 games now!!!

Bobo in for Pazzini... thats bobo's first game in San Siro against Inter in a viola shirt.

Great win for Inter and they have been pretty much in control all match except a small period in the first half.

The Scudetto is still Inter's to lose. <Ale>

He has been at his brilliant best in the last 2-3 weeks... I am willing to forgive and forget his 18 months of Cr@p play if he continues like this for 5 more Serie A games and helps us win the scudetto.

    Full time, Inter 2-0 Fiorentina.

Still 4 points ahead of Roma, 5 games to go!!!!

Inter's performance in the 2nd half is very impressive. They just went up a gear or 2, scored their goals and slowed the game from then.

I liked their 2nd goal; pass from vieira(with the outside of his foot) to cruz to mario with a cool finishhttp://101greatgoals.magnify.net/item/RSHYG4B1N44SY2NV

    Very important win!!

And looking at the last 2 games, we are at our efficient best. Which basically means that it will be very difficult for a team to beat us, and more or less assures us of the scudetto. IF we continue to play like this.

what do u think of Burdisso?

I have always questioned his inclusion in Inter's starting 11, but he was very good tonight.

He was very good tonight, our second best player after Vieira.

Burdisso is an enigma, whenever he plays for us, he is fantastic. But he is still lower down the pecking order. He was amazing last season, and I thought he had finally arrived (coz he has been a backup/apprentice for Cordoba for over half a decade now!!!). But then he lost his head in the CL against Valencia, and then got injured.... and again slided down the pecking order.

But one thing is for sure, he is a great 3rd back-up CB to have, as is Rivas. Our CB's when fit:

First choice - Cordoba and Samuel
Second Choice - Materazzi & Chivu
Third Choice - Burdisso & Rivas

Thats the reason why Inter has by far the best defensive record in Serie A over the last 2 years, inspite of the multiple injuries. Ouite frankly, there is not much of a quality difference between the 6 defenders.... there is a difference of experience, with 3 old guns and 3 younger ones - perfect combo!

The CL is not over for us yet. We lost to Reggina today, but Fiorentina, Milan and Udinese all lost too. We have hard fixtures yes...but we are capable of winning them. If we wasn't...we wouldn't be sitting in 6th in the first place.

That was in his first season in 2004. I think thats what created the bond between Burdisso and Inter.... otherwise, a player of his class and pedigree would never agree to be 3rd choice back up!! But he has never complained. And I think he will sooner or later become a starter - specially since some of our defenders are nearing retirement (Samuel/Cordoba/Matrix)...

This is the strongest hint yet that Milan are going to move for Flamini.

Two seasons ago I'd of loved Gattuso. Would of been happy with spending around £15 million on him.

Can't see him fetching more than £5-6 million now though (around 8 - 10 million euros).

Gattuso has been a class player, but this season he has been very disappointing. Not sure whether he is past it or just having a bad season. But I wouldn't want him at Inter, personally I rate our DMs more.

And I hope Donadoni realises that De Rossi >> Gattuso.

Will be interesting to see who Donadoni picks out of Gattuso, De Rossi and Ambrosini. The latter 2 have been in good form this season, but i guess Gattuso always turns up for the NT plus Pirlo and De Rossi don't seem to work too well together so its a tough one.

Inter were very good in the second half. When they play like this they are unbeatable <Ale>

Fiorentina did well in the first half, but tiredness from thursdays game showed in the second half. I hope we can bounce back from this. Prandelli, please please please rotate the team in the games against Rangers. We do not want the mickey mouse cup in place of a CL berth!

Adriano seems to have recovered his touch.... he scored a brace against Palmeiras this weekend in the semi final first leg. He now has 11 goals and is the third highest scorer in Campeonato Paulista.

Good to see Adriano slowly getting back to his best.... maybe we don't need Drogba after all.

Yo TD! word has it that Ranieri has asked Secco to get him my man Vargas. He's made him his top target in the Summer transfer window. True story or what?

If it's true, then Ranieri must compete with Roma, Milan, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Valencia. Fiorentina just pulled out from this race for "El Loco" services because they couldn't/wouldn't pay the 13 mil Catania are asking for my fellow Inca Warrior. Biggrin <Ale>

He will sign for Roma, mark my words. He has said himself that he would love to play in the Eternal city and guess what Catania's owner's favourite Football team is? Roma of course! Apparently he has dinner with the Sensi's often so if we put a bid in Im certain Catania would accept. Vargas is awesome, I hope he signs!
