Yikes confused

Godo per i pagliacci nerazzurri comunque. Ma senza Europa ragazzi è una magra consolazione Evil or Very Mad

Matterazzi is a prized idiot, I can't wait for Samuel/Cordoba to come back to that this nutcase can retire. He blocked two of our goals, one with his bum, and also missed a penalty... a title winning penalty!

Now we will have to win at Parma, last day, and ten times the pressure.

I have a bad feeling that Roma are going to pip us. For the first time this season.

The only consolation is that Milan are now probably out of the CL... so at least the milan fans will not be teasing us for dropping the title... Well done, Fiorentina!

Hahahah...are you kidding me? If Milan don't make the CL it's not the end of the world. It will just mean that we will spend a ton this summer. Our players will stay also. We won the CL last year. We're the reigning European Champions. To tell you the truth not making the CL may be a blessing in disguise because I want the Scudetto badly. We go far in the CL like every year.

But if you lose the Scudetto after leading for so long rest assured you will be the laughing stock of Italy. Your European campaign was a dismal failure, after which your coach resigned and then returned. Furthermore, it will give plenty of ammunition to all those who believe that this was your biggest chance to prove that you can win the Scudetto on a level playing field.

Still it's all in your hands, which should really worry you.
I for one will not be too harsh on Mancio/club if we lose it on the last day - it wasn't easy with all the multiple injuries... still, we hold our destiny in our own hands, we competed for the title, and we led the race from the beginning till the last day (at the very least). Usually, thats all a fan can ask for from his club, to fight and compete, so IMO its already been a positive season.

Rossoneri can hardly afford to make fun of Inter this season, whatever happens. The joke is already on you, the reigning "world champions" Razz

FUORI I SOLDI!!! Doh Doh Doh

Anything can happen. Parma and Catania know that one of them will be relegated, and Parma need to win to avoid relegation. Both teams are the worst travellers in Serie A and haven't won a single away game, but they are surprisingly strong at home - so have the capability and the desire to cause an upset. This one is going down to the wire!!

I think the CL spot race more clear... neither of Torino nor Udinese have anything left to play for, Torino are now safe, while Udinese have qualified for the UEFA Cup. So I expect both Milan and Fiorentina to win.

Inter has been leading the table by a good margin right from the beginning & towards the end they have let the margin slip away. But they still lead it, though by a point. The least that would be expected of any club/coach/players given this position would be to finish the job & win the scudetto. Or else it could only be termed as failure

Dismal performance and result. I thought we were set for UCL qualification and then the players blow it against a team we should beat. With two games left I really expected us to see it through with two wins.

    UEFA Cup next season then.

Yeah, we have blown a huge lead... but I would not classify this as a choke... we have been decimated by injuries this season... in the first half of the season when we built up that lead, we were by far the best team in Serie A (and perhaps europe).... but the magnitude of injuries we suffered, something had to give sometime... I personally think its very creditable to the Inter squad and Mancio that we are in the position we are at the moment. Just to give you an idea of the long term injuries (1 month plus) we have suffered this season:

    1. Materazzi (out half the season)
    2. Samuel (out half the season)
    3. Cordoba (out half the season)
    4. Burdisso
    5. Maicon
    6. Chivu
    7. Vieira (out half the season)
    8. Cambiasso
    9. Figo (out half the season)
    10. Stankovic
    11. Jimenez
    12. Ibrahimovic
    13. Crespo
    14. Suazo

Also if you look at the timing of the injuries, it was when most of these players were at peak form and starting regularily. Many of them came together, which meant a very tired squad.

Roma have been brilliant the second half of the season, very consistent, and easily the best team in Serie A. But if they had had even half the injury issues we had this season, the scudetto race would have long been over. No disrespect.

Thats why this is hardly a "choke"... its a team which is clinging on to a lead, badly out of form due to numerous injuries for almost 4 months now... It will be a huge achievement if we win the scudetto!!

2002 was the biggest choke... this will not even come close. I would actually be proud of this team even if we lose the scudetto and the coppa final. But lets not get ahead of ourselves, we are still in line to do a domestic treble in Italy again!

Hardly a choke? You sound like Galliani.

Inter have a HUGE squad. They spend every summer to account for injuries. I am sorry they should be able to cope.

Roma lost Totti recently and Taddei was out for a while as was Mancini. Given the size of their squad those are huge losses.

That's a nice way to put it. But still, it will be a huge disappointment for Inter fans if they were to lose after doing it all...and not being able to complete it. And that will again bring to the front the discussion about Inter not being able to win even when the competition in the league is at a level field.

As far as the squad is concerned, I thought Inter had one of the deepest squads that there are & Moratti always has loads of money to splash.

Yeah people are forgetting to all of this in context. if i remember correct Inter played great even when they had alot of injuries so it just shows quality allthough i would still say that its a bit of a choke allthough not as much as others would.

Milan have a bigger squad than Inter in number of senior players. Milan has a more expensive squad than Inter as well.

CHOKING is what Milan have done right from the beginning of the season, with far less injuries than Inter...

As for Roma, they have played very well, but I am sorry - they did not have extraordinary injuries this season. They had the usual amount that every club has... As you can see from the names mentioned in my post above, we have had almost our entire starting line-up wiped out with bad injuries... for example, there were times we were playing out 5th and 6th choice CBs as they were the only ones left standing, and we still have the best defensive record in Serie A. Thats hardly "choking".

I agree with supermadrid, there is some amount of under achievement lately by Inter which resulted in this points gap being reduced, but that is a direct result of the injuries which destroys the consistency in a team. I wouldn't go as far as call it "choking".

Milan haven't choked, their big problem is that they have too many old players. If they had even a slightly sensible transfer strategy over the last 2 years, they would have easily been in the top 4.

I've read that Maggio is having a beast of a season. And Cassano has been a revelation since returning to Samp.

They were my Italian team in the early 90s, but then I lost interest.

They have, I believe, the richest club owner in Italy and a fantastic history, so they should be challenging for the title. It will be nice to see them in Europe.

ps They also have the nicest coloured football strip in Italy.

That would be great.still glad though that Doria didnt get Cl football so quick. best that they do something in the Uefa cup first perhaps even though italians tend not to rate it.

    Ale Ale Ale

Cassano should stay with us...he's getting his head down and using his talent instead of wasting it. Maggio would probably be my player of the year...he's been amazing.

We do have a very rich owner...but don't often spend for some reason. I think if we did, and brought in players like Chevanton etc...we'd challenge the top 4 even more than we did this season.

@Super Madrid-We are in the UEFA Cup every season near enough...we seem to be very unlucky when playing in it though. We do take it seriously too.

Yeah i saw last year how you went out to AAB and that was unlucky at least in the first leg. still think Doria lacks enough quality to represent Italy in CL.

Exactly. Milan haven't choked--they just sucked this year.
