Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho has endured a torrid campaign, ridden by injuries and a loss of form, and he is widely expected to move on to pastures new this summer.
Despite various denials, speculation has been increasing in the Italian media over the past week or so that Milan are closing in on a deal to sign the Brazilian.
The Gazzetta today states that Milan have already drawn up a four-year contract offer for Ronaldinho, and they are ready to present their offer this week.
Meanwhile the 28-year-old’s brother and agent Roberto de Assis is set to be given permission by the Barcelona hierarchy to find an official buyer for the player.
Milan are not the only team interested, and de Assis was in England at the weekend, holding talks with both Chelsea and Manchester City following the two sides’ Premiership game.
Inter Milan have also been heavily linked, but Milan are now said to be the favourites.
