i didn't watch the match live cotr, but i had to watch the highlights once i saw that gimp headed in in the last few seconds, it was just too good an opportunity to turn down.COTR wrote:The-Frank-Tavern wrote: he couldn't handle all the pressure and expectation from the fans
so forget about the 30 goals
forget about the goal against arsenal that got us through
forget about the goal against inter
forget about the goal against porto
forget about the goal against marseille
In frank land, torres has been a let down
Good to see you didn't keep to your word and actually watched the game frank

Chelsea didn't play well, they have to play United at the weekend while we have a reserves match against a woeful Birmingham. I'm keeper my pecker up.

he did actually hit the target, and the shot at the end cech actually had to make a decent save.
I don't understand why some liverpool fans are so down, ok they conceded a goal at the end, but it is far from over. You have to score and gerrard and torres (and kuyt ) are well-capable of that. Even if chelsea do score it doesn't really make any difference to the game plan. The decider could be if chelsea set up their team to defend, survive 80 mins then liverpool score and go 1-0 up. They'd have 10 mins to get back into the game with a defensive team.
Babel works much better as a sub also. I'd leave him on the bench for an hour or so then bring him on to score

We are down because
- we were the better team
- chelsea did not look like scoring
- the match should have been over
- we should have won pretty comfortably and maybe decided the tie
- the goal we conceded was ridiculous in both it's nature and timing
But we'll be fine by the time the match comes along next week. I'm not sure if he'll start with babel against the chelsea bus. Babel needs space so a better tactic may be yossi if he wants the same formation or go 4-4-2 with crouch

I'm tempted, but I thought I'd keep the besiktas one until liverpool lift the cup again, just to show how stupid we all are on the european board
in fact I am not sure you'd want the support, remember we all did with the avatars and then liverpool won 8-0

Better pundit than assistant manager.

Except against Man U.

they were both straight at the GK though, the first one he should have scored easily and the 2nd he knew it was coming to him, there'd been free men back post all night110% wrote:he did actually hit the target, and the shot at the end cech actually had to make a decent save.

you missed out the one where he was clean through but miscontrolled the ball frank
how you can even attempt to criticise him is beyond me though
