At least you have now corrected your ways, although torres scoring in the San siro sort of gave you no choice

its not a failure

BUT I wouldn't say its as successful as all you lot seem to think. he's done pretty well but some of the defending against him has been absolutely woeful (otto makes a far point when he assesses epl defences just look at santa cruz).

imho his biggest test is yet to come, second season syndrome has struck many a player in the epl

I was as shocked as I've ever been when the camera zoomed in on him around the 60th minute mark. I missed the teams coming out, so I didn't see him walking out onto the pitch (and getting "punk'd" by the Chelsea mascot as per usual).

Santa Cruz however was playing for a better team, a team that dominates the Bundesliga, while Blackburn is far from dominating the EPL, and he still didn't cut it against supposedly 'awful' Bundesliga defences.


It was a wind-up attempt that worked, mind you, but the more you think about it, the more obvious it is that there is some truth to it.
