Ooijer to Rovers?

The best Dutch defender, aged 32, is likely to move to the Premiership. It isn't he wants to move or he has to leave PSV but he always said: "never say never" if a (good) club wants to sign him!!!!! If Blackburn can arrange an agreement with PSV it is quite possible another Dutch international will play in the EPL this year.

It would be a big blow for PSV because they will lose a class defender and I am not sure they can get a new class defender to replace him on the short run.

Ooijer isn't the youngest anymore so it would be good for him to take the large amount of EPL-money before he finishes his career. After his career he likes to do something with seals, his favourite animals...

blackburn are in serious trouble defensively with uncertainty over nelson and neill

PSV are in (huge) debt so they want money! But on the other hand they could have sold Vennegoor to Porto but the price was not good enough! Also goal keeper Gomes could have left the club but no one
could pay the transfer money.

Also, Last year Schalke wanted to sign Ooijer but couldn't pay the amount of money!

So PSV don't have to sell him but on the other hand if Blackburn wants to pay a lot of cash PSV will not be that unhappy with some cash....

On the other hand, it will make PSV significantly weaker if the Amsterdammer Ooijer leaves the club...

Nelson is wanted by Pompey who have bid £4.7m, Blackburn dont want to sell but its unclear what the player wants.

Mark Hughes has said Robert Huth is a decent option to sure up their defence.

He did well at the WC but he is also a superb right back - I regard him as one of the top 3 in the EPL, honest.

He would be a good signing if Blackburn can make it.

PSV chairman doesn't take the Blackburn interest very serious. The transfer bid is much too low and Blackburn haven't contact PSV personally yet...

Next year he's 33 and there's no chance he'd get tranferred then. Understandable, he just want to avoid becoming another Barry van Galen (highly rated skilled player who didn't get his chance in Oranje or abroad).

Disgrace really that Ooijer doesn't have more caps...

I'd like to see him in the EPL, I think it will bring out the best in him.

With certain people age is hardly a factor - he still has at least 2.5 more years at the top in him, I reckon.

Only he and Boulahrouz are fit to be CB of the caliber that oranje deserves. Both complement each other perfectly too.

Yes that's true but then... He was injured a lot on the big tournaments...
