Blackburn Rovers Topic.

Well, Ade said I could make one if I wanted to.

It has been pretty decent for Rovers lately... Before we lost in UEFA cup, we had been unbeaten in 15 games in all competitions, with the last defeat against Chelsea in the FA cup Semi's last season.

In the summer we brought in Santa Cruz, who is looking promising at the moment, with Benni McCarthy doing 'Cr@p' this season after talks of him moving to a different club. But hopefully Benni will pick up his form again and be scoring as well as santa.

I think if Rovers bring in a stronger Striker we could find ourselfs finishing in the top 6. Because we dont need to tamper with our midfield or our defenders apart from a RB because Emerton aint a RB but has played there since the begining of last season and has played well but we need someone better.

I will post news on Rovers here from now on.

What are youre thoughts about the club?

I like Rovers They are a team I respect and a team very hard to beat

I really rate Blackburn, and I'm predicting you to be in the top 8 and grab a European spot again this year despite all your challengers being taken over and having money to spend (though not all of them have).

There have been talks of us being took over by a guy who supposedly supported rovers as a lad, and he is now a business man in America.

Well that were at home. Kenwayne Jones has looked good since signing too and if Gordon's up for it, they can be quite tough to score against. Having said that, Keane is clearly an imbecile in the transfer market. His limited knowledge of footballers makes me worry whether they're capable of staying up

I'm quite a fan of Bentley, and am glad to see him in the England setup now.

I had always had faith in Santa when he joined.... And Bentley won't really get games for england that often.

I think the thing why people questioned Santa Cruz was over his numerous injuries he has always picked up. He was never fit for more than a few months at Bayern I think so there where the obvious question marks over that, but there is no questioning his talent

Hughes is a brilliant manager... look at the players he's brought in for us and what theyve done.

Not arguing with you, again most ppl knew he had the talent but he was so injury prone at Bayern and him staying fit is no real suprise when you see his performances for yous.

Samba, Friedel, Benni(been disappointing this season), Bentley, MGP are all very good players but I think around them can be improved though I like Steven Reid(whens he due back ), Moakena, Nielsen and Tugay.

I'm sure Reid's free to play now... Never really liked Mokoena, always thought he was pants maself. Nelsen and Samba at the back are brilliant together. And Tugay can still play good every now and then but he is getting old and his fitness levels arent the best any more. Dunn is a good player aswell, I'd play him with Savage instead of Playing Reid though.

There are only a handful of players I don't like being in the line-up are:

Ooijer, Mokoena, Emerton, Benni.

By the way, like I said before try and get 'blue and white rover' to join this place if you can.

Hopefully we can break into the top 6... if not, about 7th or 8th.

And i go Rovers every now and then... but im geting a season ticket next season.

And rightly so,

The 04/05 and 05/06 seasons for MGP he was suberb and then a sudden drop in form in the middle of last year and it seems he hasn't recovered. I assume this is from some sort of injury or what not but like NR said, hes on of the best wingers in the league and Im sure at least 2 maybe 3 of the 'top 4' would be keen on him if he becomes available.

For sure Pedersen is a class player , Man United + Liverpool were linked with him some time back.

should be a game well worth watching on thurs. v larissa.i think rovers are well capable of turning over a 2 goal defecit, don't know what happened in the first leg, but i'm sure it won't be repeated.early away goal could be a killer though, but i will go 4-1 to rovers.

Rovers had 2 minutes of sloppy defending and conceded 2 goals in that time.... im going to watch rovers on thursday, went to the last uefa cup game when we won, so looking forward to a repeat performance, and after coming into the game with 2 stracight wons we should be pretty confident.
