If anything, this only shows how nervous United are, and how high the pressure is. Professional footballers should be able to control their temper, on and off the pitch.

I'd be worried as a United fan to be honest. You have a tough and important match ahead of you, and your players don't exactly look calm, despite still having everything to play for, still everything in their own hands.

The manager has a lot to do with that...if I was a player for Man. Utd. and saw these lineups, I'd be well confounded to say the least. Hardly inspires confidence either when my manager comes in and says "alright lads, we usually score goals for fun and tear teams apart, but today how about let's just stay compact, and try to hit them on the counter."

Yeah, I used to know a gardener and he was strong. But groundsman don't carry out the same amount of manual labour as an actual gardener, I'd imagine.

    Kimbo

I would still expect a person who trains his body every day to have a physical advantage over your average man on the street.

I remember watching something on television about how the legal system in the US takes into consideration the physical difference between professional athletes and guys who aren't pro athletes during assault charges.

Footballers shouldn't be underestimated. The top professionals will have seriously powerful core strength, be accustomed to explosive movements, and have exceedingly powerful legs and, therefore, kicks.

Edit - I actually helped the guy garden once. It was physically exhausting work. But it was really enjoyable.

Rio Ferdinand has apologised to a Chelsea steward after accidentally kicking her at the end of today's match.

The Manchester United defender, tipped to be the next permanent England captain, was angry following the 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

He intended to take his frustrations out on a wall but instead kicked the steward.

Ferdinand went back to say sorry and she said "she totally understood" as she was unhurt, said United.

A club spokesman said: "Rio would like to apologise to the lady".

No - because sex is for reproduction and I can only do that with someone of the opposite sex.

Even when we have sex with someone for recreational purposes we still usually follow the same principles for choosing a mate that we do when we are breeding.

Having sex and kicking someone is completely different - the latter is illegal so daft comparison really.
